WHAT IS A THREADLIFT?
A thread lift is a procedure where temporary sutures are used to produce a visible lift in the skin, this has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly and therefore resulting in a more youthful appearance. If done at the right time of your life, threads not only give a lift to the skin, they also produce collagen along the threaded area within the skin, giving a firmer, tighter and more contoured look, and as we all know collagen plays a vital role to delay the ageing process.
Threadlift and collagen production combats loss of volume and strength within the skin. The process provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues. An experienced aesthetician will design the sutures according to the skin sag, which in return give gradual improvement in skin tone and firmness in the long run.

Threadlift is affordable and has a reduced recovery time, it is performed under local anaesthetic. One can experience a little bit of soreness, redness and swelling after having a threadlift, but there is no risk of scarring or any complications, depending on how experienced and qualified the aesthetician is.

It is important to maintain realistic expectations for this procedure. While thread lifts certainly produce visible changes, they will generally only lift the face by a few millimeters. Thread lifts are therefore best suited to people who are dealing with mild to moderate, rather than severe, signs of skin laxity.

The ideal thread lift candidate is usually between 40 to 55 years of age, candidates starting threadlift early can see a very good response till the age of 60. Threadlift can last from one to three years. However, because the procedure is so low-risk, patients who like the results can safely repeat this once a year.
