A high-level briefing was held bringing together senior leadership, media representatives, and public health partners to strengthen national efforts toward a polio-free Pakistan.

During the session, polio survivor Abrar Khan shared his life journey with polio and emphasized the importance of timely vaccination, urging parents to ensure their children are vaccinated during the National Immunization Days from 15–21 December 2025.

The forum highlighted the critical role of the media in preventing misconceptions, protecting communities through accurate and responsible reporting, and strengthening public trust in vaccination ahead of the December 2025 National Immunization Days. The event was held at Lecture Hall, Surgical Complex, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi.

ایک اعلیٰ سطحی بریفنگ منعقد کی گئی جس میں سینئر قیادت، میڈیا کے نمائندوں اور عوامی صحت کے شراکت داروں نے شرکت کی، تاکہ پولیو سے پاک پاکستان کے لیے قومی کوششوں کو مزید مضبوط بنایا جا سکے۔

اجلاس کے دوران پولیو سے متاثرہ فرد ابرار خان نے پولیو کے ساتھ اپنی زندگی کے سفر کا بیان کیا اور بروقت ویکسینیشن کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ انہوں نے والدین سے اپیل کی کہ وہ 15 تا 21 دسمبر 2025 کے دوران قومی حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کے دنوں میں اپنے بچوں کو لازمی طور پر پولیو کے قطرے پلوائیں۔

فورم میں میڈیا کے اس اہم کردار کو اجاگر کیا گیا کہ وہ غلط فہمیوں کی روک تھام، درست اور ذمہ دارانہ رپورٹنگ کے ذریعے کمیونٹیز کے تحفظ، اور دسمبر 2025 کے قومی حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کے دنوں سے قبل ویکسینیشن پر عوامی اعتماد کو مضبوط بنانے میں کلیدی کردار ادا کرتا ہے۔ یہ تقریب لیکچر ہال، سرجیکل کمپلیکس، جناح پوسٹ گریجویٹ میڈیکل سینٹر، کراچی میں منعقد ہوئی۔

دنیا بھر میں آج معذور افراد کا عالمی دن منایا جا رہا ہے۔ آج ہم معذور افراد کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں، جن میں سے بہت سے افراد پولیو کے عمر بھر کے اثرات کے ساتھ زندگی گزار رہے ہیں۔ ان کی ہمت ہمیں یاد دلاتی ہے کہ پولیو سے پاک پاکستان کے لیے ہمارا عزم پہلے سے کہیں زیادہ مضبوط ہونا چاہیے۔

ہر بچے کو ویکسین کے ذریعے محفوظ بنا کر، ہم ایک صحت مند اور خوشحال پاکستان کی جانب مزید قدم بڑھا رہے ہیں۔ 💙♿
