Over 1436 years ago, when a child was born, the Prophet (PBUH) made it his sunnah to take a small part of a date and place it in his mouth. He would then chew it until it was soft and then rub it onto the palate of the new born baby. This is called Tahneek.

Today, BBC News has reported that "experts" have said - "A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage"

This is why Muslims follow the sunnah of the messenger without questioning it. 😊

Science is only now discovering a tradition that was introduced 1436 years ago because Islam was and still is the forefront of development.

سر کی خشکی ختم کرنے کا نسخہ ۔

آپ بازار سے میتھی دانہ خرید کر پسوا لیں۔ ۲؍ چمچ سفوف رات کو تھوڑے گرم پانی میں بھگوئیں۔ صبح اچھی طرح سر میں لگائیں۔ آدھ گھنٹے بعد سر دھو لیں۔ شیمپو بھی اچھی قسم کا استعمال کریں۔ آدھا کلو تیل گرم کریں اور اس میں ایک چقندر کے کٹے گول ٹکڑے ایک ایک کرکے ڈالیں۔ جب کالے ہو جائیں تو دوسرے ڈالیں، آخر میں پتے بھی جلائیں۔ تیل ٹھنڈا ہونے پر چھان کر رکھیں۔ چقندر کا یہ تیل سر کی خشکی دور کر دیتا ہے۔ کان میں بادام روغن ہلکا گرم کرکے ایک ایک قطرہ ڈالیں۔ سر کی خشکی ختم ہوگی تو کانوں کی شکایت خودبخود ختم ہو جائے گی۔
