Essential oils give pleasure with their wonder full smells, improve health and well being with their magic ingredients, and can be used in dozens of way throughout your home. the best part is that no matter how you use them, they don't need any special equipment
or fancy preparation. It can be as simple as unscrewing the bottle and breathing in.
To show what an important part essential oils can play in your life, here are some suggestions for the most beneficial ways of using them.
1. MASSAGE.
Massage is the most common way of using essential oils. Some would say it is the most pleasurable, combining as it does, the senses of touch and smell. It is the most beneficial method as essential oils are diluted in a carrier oil, like sunflower, and rubbed directly into the skin. Massage has two further bonuses: it stimulates the circulation enabling the oils to disperse rapidly around the body, and the warmth of the skin-on-skin friction makes oils smell stronger, so you get quicker therapeutic benefits to both mind and body.
2. BATHS.
The most relaxing way to use essential oils is to add them to your bath. You need a few drops of oil of hot water to get the full benefits. The two main ones are that you have steam and warmth to evaporate the oils and intensify the aroma, and water to soften the skin and speed up oil absorption. All you have to do is lie back and soak for 15 minutes.
3. ROOM VAPORIZERS.
These provide a way of warming essential oils so that their aromas spread quickly to scent a room . Vaporiser are little pots with a bowl-shaped bottom to hold a candle, and a saucer-shaped top to hold some water enriched with a few drops of essential oil. the candle heats the water and the oil rapidly vaporises through the air. you can achieve the same effect by putting a saucer of warm water on top of a radiator and adding a few drops of oil to the water.
4. BEAUTY TREATMENTS.
Some essential oils are great skin soothers, some heal skin quickly, others rejuvenate mature complexions or reduce oiliness, and some smell just smell divine on your face. They make wonderful beauty treatments from cleansers and masks to facials and moisturizers, all
which make you look good and feel good in one go.
5. BODY MOISTURIZERS.
Essential oils pe*****te so rapidly and deeply they make excellent, inexpensive and indulgent body moisturizers you can mix them in any combination, for their aroma, their treatment effect, or both, and add them to a rich carrier oil, such as apricot, jojoba or peach. Or simply add a few drops of essential oil to the cheapest, simplest body moisturizing lotion you can buy.
6. FOOT BATHS.
Fot the most sensual footbath, add a few drops of essential oil to a basin of water then sit back and soak your toes. You can add oils for their smell alone, or refresh tired feet, boost the circulation of cold feet, soothe aches, or help reduce perspiration.

Benefits Of Aromatherapy.
Aroma is a modern name for the ancient knowledge of healing and improving health using fragrant, natural ingredients. These ingredients, called essential oils are found in herbs, plants, flowers, fruits and the bark, roots or resin of some trees.
Essential oils give the aroma to the plant, but they also contain dozens of complex chemicals that seem to do every thing from beautifying skin or speeding healing to putting you to sleep or numbing a headache.
Even if you think you have never come across these oils before, all of us are affected by them each day. Every time you peel an orange the essential oil squirts out of the tiny pockets in the peel and, because it is so volatile, instantly evaporates into the air releasing it's bitter-sweet, tangy, citrus smell. And whether you notice or not, the orange oil has a refreshing but relaxing effect.
When you take flowers for some one who is ill in hospital you are using aromatherapy to help them feel better. The essential oils that give the smell to a bouquet of jasmine, roses, geranium, and lavender, for instance, all contain chemicals that relax the nervous system and instantly improve spirits.
When you use pure essential oils though, the beneficial properties are more concentrated, and have a greater effect on both mind and body than you get from just sniffing a bunch of flowers, so learning how you can use these essential oils will give you the means to be healthier, appear happier and more in control of every area of your life.
Benefits of Essential Oils:
Essential oils are complex and magical that no one really knows what they are. Romantics and enthusiasts say they are the life force of a plant, similar to the human spirit. Researchers say they are a mixture of organics compounds, such as ketones, terpenes, esters, alcohols, aldehydes, and hundreds of other molecules, many to small or complex to classify under a microscope. what they do, rather than what they are, is much easier to understand. Because the molecules of essential oils are so minute and so quick to evaporate. they pe*****te human skin and enter the bloodstream and organs, before eventually being excreted.
1. Chamomile: If you want a good nights rest, then sip on some chamomile tea, it helps reduce anxiety, stress, tension and even insomnia.
2. Tea Tree Oil: This oil has many healing properties and is used in many cultures for cuts, burns and other wounds as a type of antibacterial. It works well on ACNE MARKS as well.
3. Lavender: Lavender can be used to help treat cuts and bruises, lavender tea and incense is also very soothing and relaxing to the body
4. Eucalyptus: For a thorough mental cleansing use this oil for an emotional and physical well being. It also helps to reduce coughs, respiratory issues and chest infections.

Reduce Pufiness and Soothe tired Eyes
In our world of computers, televisions, and extended working hours, your eyes- one of the most precious features-are all too often neglected. Late nights, computer work, and even reading can all take a toll on our eyes. Lack of sleep results in red-eyes and dark circles. Food sensitivities, allergies to pollen, and sensitivity to some make-up can lead to puffy eyes.
The best way to put the sparkle back in tired eyes is by getting plenty of rest, but there is no need to reach for pharmaceutical eye drops when you're simply suffering from lifestyle-related soreness or redness. Revive them with these refreshing recipes:
Fast Fixes For Puffy Eyes.
Swelling that does not disappear rapidly once you are out of bed is commonly caused by allergies, so you may need to consider if there is any thing you are reacting to, particularly if you have a tendency to allergies. Possible triggers include cosmetics, any thing applied to the eye areas last thing at night, or even skin mites in your mattress or bedding.
In rare cases, major swelling around the eyes can indicate more general health problems, such as circulatory disorders. If the puffiness is very noticeable or has been persistent for a long time, consult your doctor.
To soothe Dry Eyes
Often eyes become tired and itchy because the air is too dry. An electric humidifier can create a more eye-friendly environment, or fill your office and home with plants, and spray mist- them frequently.
To soothe Tired Eyes.
Cucumber slices, raw potato slices, and witch hazel-soaked cotton pads are all extremely soothing. Eyebright is nature's sparkle-restoring herb: add 30 drops of tincture of eyebright to a glass of cool, boiled pure water and keep it in the refrigerator; organic cotton pads soaked in it are tremendously eye-calming. Apply morning and evening.
To Tone Down Red Eyes.
To draw attention from red eyes, wear less make up. Avoid eye make- up with even a hint of red, such as purple, burgundy, and pink shades.
To Reduce Puffiness :
1: Pour boiling water over two organic chamomile tea bags. Allow the tea bags to cool and then chill them in the fridge and, when ready to use, squeeze out the excess water, lie down, and place them over the eyes , Relax for 15 minutes.
2 : Tannins in regular tea have an anti-inflammatory effect, Follow the method above using black or orange pekoe tea.
3: Tapping the orbital bone around the eye sharply with the middle finger, moving along the bone to circle the eye, can help drain the fluid from the area which causes puffiness
4: Make your self an eye-rest pillow, filled with seeds or rice, which you can lay on the eye area. This is wonderfully restful, and the weight of the pillow helps drain fluid from the eyelids. To make the pillow: cut two pieces of pure silk or 100 percent satin, approximately 12.5 x 22.5 cm (5 x 9 in), and sew the wrong sides together to make an envelope. Leave a 2.5cm ( 1 in) gap in the side, and pour in one cup of flax seeds or dried rice. If you like, add crushed rose petals or dried lavender to scent the pillow, or dried hops to help induce sleep. Hand stitch the opening in the fabric to close it up.
5 : Stainless steel teaspoons which have been chilled in the freezer also works effectively at reducing puffy eyelids. lie down and relax, and press the backs of the chilled spoons on the eyelids for a few minutes.

10 RULES FOR GOOD HEALTH.
The shock-absorbers of your 20s will not help you out in your 30! So while you struggle your roles as nurturer, part breadwinner and homewinner, do not neglect your own well being. Find out the bare minimum you must do, to stay healthy and happy. Here are the Ten Golden rules for a healthy life:
1) Pay Attention To Quality Of Food :
May be you already follow the think- before-you- eat maxim. But when it comes to food it's easy to err on either side. Make sure that more than half of your plate has good carbohydrate (whole grains, pulses, veggies ), about a quarter has proteins (pulses, low-fat dairy, fish, lean meat), and the rest has calories from good fats (cold-pressed oils, nuts, seeds). Simply fulfilling calorific values does not suffice; a cup of unrefined flour and refined flour may have the same calories, but the benefits of unrefined flour far out weigh its refined counterpart. Follow the food pyramid made for your days eating. 6-11 servings of grain, 6-8 of veggies and fruits, 3 servings of natural fats (nuts, seeds, oils), 2-3 for dairy, 2-3 for pulses and non-veg foods, and as little as possible of refined sugars.
Eat at the same time every day and keep food simple.
Restrict Indulgences (high-calorie, low-nutrient food) to the weekends and special occasions.
Get all the colors of fruit and vegetables in a week and include probiotic foods in your diet. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
2) Choose Prevention Over Cure :
Apart from leading a healthy life (right diet, exercise, sleep)there are two important step you need to take:
a)Go for an annual check-up: Get all the tests recommended by your physician or you may choose complete health screening packages offered by many hospitals.
b)Take Vitamin, Mineral Supplements: After you get your annual check-up done, consult your general physician (G P) on if you need to have multivitamin and or\ calcium and magnesium supplements. Remember that over-dosage can be harmful, so stick to the dose recommended for you and don't self prescribe.
3) Check Your Peak Bone Mass:
At 30, women achieve the highest bone density they will ever have as their skeletal structure reaches maturation (when the release of calcium from the bones into the blood equals or is less than the absorption of it by the bone tissue). this occurs whether or not you've had children.
Once you hit your peak bone mass, there will be progressive deterioration (around 1 percent a year). So in 20 years, you could have osteoporotic fractures. Your doctor may recommend a non-invasive Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test.
Either way root out lifestyle-related risk factors, such as smoking, alcohol, lack of exercise and very low food consumption. If you have diabetes and arthritis you may be more susceptible, so keep these in check as well.
4) Detect Arthritis early :
If you think you are too young to worry about arthritis, you are mistaken. Rheumatoid arthritis, the most common type of arthritis (there are several kinds), Strikes in the 30's and is genetic in origin. So if you have a history of the disease in the family, be doubly alert.
Also, know that arthritis can be a result of one or more other condition or diseases, so when you visit a doctor tell him your complete medical history.
Be aware of Symptoms. Early morning joint stiffness, swelling of the joints after physical activity, pain in the joints while climbing stairs etc. Don't ignore these symptoms and go to your doctor and do get all the recommended tests done for early diagonses and treatment.
You can control rheumatoid arthritis through medication (disease modifying drugs), physiotherapy and diet (consumption of anti-oxidants especially in fresh fruits and vegetables.
5) Think Positive :
Your 30's will perhaps be the most productive of your life, as you struggle at work and home . It is a period of responsibility and of building relationship, careers, savings and investments. With the challenging task of bringing it all together, it's easy to fall prey to bouts of negative thinking. These episodes of gloom may become a personality trait. So even if it seems difficult at times try to think positive; it will help you develop resources such as the ability to think clearly and problem solving skills. Take slip ups in your stride.
Organise Your Life ;for instance, plan your annual budget at the start of the year and go on to plan your day every morning. Make major decision now; do not wait over them for days on end. Multi-tasking should not be practiced all the time. So when you are playing with your 5-year-old, enjoy the moment, without thinking of what to cook for dinner .
Learn To Let Go- let go of the little things and make your point on the big things. Talking it out is really way of letting go.
Indulge In a Hobby- Use at least some hours in a week or on a weekend to enjoy a hobby. And appreciate the good in yourself without getting trapped in a feeling of martyrdom.
6) Get An Exercise Regime:
Women tend to gain weight in their early 30's. This is usually the the post-pregnancy phase, when children are young making it difficult to get back in shape. And watch out for binging during bouts of depression, and snacking.
Find an hour everyday for exercise if you really want to loose weight. In fact, look at exercise as a way of getting your life back on track, not just your body. Consider joining a fitness centre. Exercise will tone up your body as well as mind and also your metabolism will improve.
Invest in a suitable gear to help you get started. Buy light weight, stretchable, breathable clothes in 'happy colors; a sports bra and a good pair of shoes (cross trainers, running or walking shoes)
7) Prepare Yourself :
Prepare your for for what is to come- the 40's with its share of hormonal changes (marked by a decrease in estrogen, the female hormone, and some times with an increase in androgen the male hormone). This is the peri-menopausal phase-time just before menopause.
Build on your relationship with your husband; the next 10 years may see insecurities and mood swings. Ensure he is as aware what is happening to your body, as you are.
8) Manage Your Family Planning :
If you have not had children yet or are planning a second child, it's best to do it before 35. A post-35 pregnancy is risky, especially if you have a family history of diabetes or high BP.
The moment you missed your period, get a pregnancy test done. The earlier you visit your gynaecologist the better. She will guide you in the all-important first three months. She will recommend essential tests and a diet and stick to the exercise regime reccomended by her.
Post pregnancy, your body heals in 3~6 months. Your doctor will give you calcium and iron supplements to help you recover. But it is wise to have at least a 2-3 year gap between two pregnancies so you first child is fairly independent when you have your second one.
9) Examine Your Breasts :
With the chance of 1 in every 22 women developing breast cancer; it is imperative to check your breasts every month. This can be done by looking for any signs of swelling or distortion in shape of one breast. It is a good idea to have it examined by your doctor as she will be thorough in her examination and is better qualified to recognize danger signs if any. Also, after you hit 40, get mammograms done at intervals of 12 to 18 months without fail.
Remember, breast cancer is preventable by adopting certain precautionary measures and changes in your lifestyle. Educate yourself about them.
10) Change Your Lifestyle Before Lifestyle Changes You :
The reason why most women develop diseases as they mature because they are overworked. In matters of health, most women put themselves after their children and husband. If you have a hectic lifestyle, chances are your diet, exercise and sleep schedules suffer the most, affecting every part of your body and inviting obesity, hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis.
Set a goal for weight loss, a better-toned body or improved time-management-and fix a time frame (three months is not too distant nor too close). Take steps to support it- divide the day in optimum time-use capsules and follow it. Improve your fluid intake, exercise, eat a nutritious diet focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables and fibre (whole cereals).

Eat Your Way To Healthy Hair
Did you Know that as with skin, what you eat affects your hair. Hair follicles rely on nourishment from the bloodstream, but they compete with the rest of your body for nutrients.
In the body's pecking order, hair is a non essential organ. If your diet is lacking, nutrients are diverted to higher-priority organs and your hair misses out. The result is hair that's dry and slow to grow.
Beating this is simple-just make sure you eat a well-balanced diet rich in fruit and vegetables, with at least two servings of protein a day and large amounts of energy-giving whole grain carbohydrates. This will ensure optimum nutrition for the entire body and your hair will get it's fair share, It will then grow at it's maximum speed (normally around 14mm a month), strength and thickness.
You can also help prevent particular hair problems with diet. This does not mean that a good breakfast will beat a bad hair day -hair takes three months to grow, so that is how long it will take to see the results of any dietary changes. Nor can you eat your way out of bad hairdo. No amount of vitamins will repair hair that's chemically damaged or split. But you can help your hair with some other things.
Oily Hair:
While naturally oily hair is genetically determined (and nothing you eat can beat your genes). If your has suddenly turned oily, check your spice intake. foods that cause the skin to sweat, like curries or chili also cause the scalp to sweat and this increases oil levels.
Dull Hair:
Lack of shine in your hair means that it's not reflecting the light properly. Healthy hair is formed with a flat cuticle, and when light rays hit this they bounce back. T hat's what creates the shine. However, if the cuticles on the hair lifts, that reflection will not happen and hair will look dull. So why does the cuticle lift? While chemical processes like bleaching are the most common cause, lack of protein also causes the hair to grow with a lifted cuticle. It is recommended that you eat 0.75g of protein (like lean meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, nuts, seeds or pulses) per kilogram of body weight a day.
Dry Hair:
This is one of the common symptoms of essential fatty acid deficiency. This is particularly true if your hair is flyaway and frizzy. Boost EFAs by eating nuts, seeds, and oily fish like mackerel. These foods also supply protein, which is vital for glossy hair; with out it, the hair forms with a lifted cuticle which reduces the hair's natural protection, making it easier for moisture to evaporate and drying to occur.
Hair that won't Grow:
The B vitamins, which provides the body with energy, are vital for hair growth. If your energy levels are low, hair growth slows down. Eating little and often will help to keep energy levels up. Biotin (sometimes called vitamin H) also helps create thicker, faster-growing hair. You will find it in eggs, fish, milk, nuts and pulses.
Thinning Hair:
This tends to be linked to iron deficiency. Ensure you are reaching around 14mg of iron a day from a supplement or by filling your diet with lean red meat or dark green vegetables. Also, too much vitamin A (over 10,000 units a day) can lead to hair loss. This only likely to happen if you are taking in high levels of A-heavy foods or if you are mixing supplements. If you are, stop. Vitamin A is toxic to the body and hair loss is the first sign of this. If you want extra vitamin A for your skin, increase your intake of fruit and vegetables.

Best Way to Manage Straight Hair.
Straight hair is usually fine and thin. For that reason straight hair needs a gentle shampoo. Buy a shampoo that’s marked for daily frequent washing as it’s likely be low in detergent and high in moisturizers. Or the very least, use clear shampoo. This helps to include more conditioners and is good for the hair. Using moisturizing shampoo also helps you to get away without conditioner, which is a must for fine, straight hair as it weighs it down further. If you do want to use conditioning products, make sure they are light and that you wash them out well. If you want to create some bounce and body in your hair, thickening shampoos are best. These include an ingredient called panthenol, which pe*****tes the hair cuticle, making each strands thicken. Additionally they also negatively charge the hair so the strands are less likely to stick together.
When it comes to drying, your technique depends on the effect you want to create. For sleek looks, use a dryer with a nozzle to create volume. Use mousse or thickening gel on the roots of your hair and dry against your natural parting, tipping your head upside down for the last two to three minutes.
Top 5 Tips for Straight Hair:
·Flat paddle brush is your perfect brush with wide bristles that separate the hair without damage.
· Avoid products with alcohol in their top three ingredient. Alcohol in a product is great at helping tame thick wavy hair but will make the straight strands cling together.
· Straight hair is the shiniest as light reflects from the cuticle. To maximize your natural asset, make the last rinse a cold one as this flattens the cuticle. Also do the last two to three minutes of your blow-dry on the cool setting with the nozzle facing downwards. Shine serums will also help
· If you want volume, try not to handle your hair too much. Heat and oil from your palms can be enough to make fine hair floppy.
· You can also add volume to your hair using color. Mix highlights and lowlights in three or four different shades to create depth and texture.

Manage Wavy Hair
The best way to bring out the beauty of wavy hair is dealing successfully with two problems. The first of these is Static, which can create frizz, specially on the crown of the head. The second is lack of volume which can cause flattening at the roots. Thick coarse hair takes frequent washing, but responds best to being left for two to three days between shampoos. When you do shampoo, you are unlikely to need thickening shampoo, but this does not mean you should pick any bottle off the shelf .Because of the thickness of wavy hair, it can easily be weighed down. So using a volumizing shampoo ( which provides lift within the hair ) will counteract this and will help maximize bounce and life. When you wash your hair follow up with a light leave-in conditioner, which will provide a protective layer between the hair cuticle and the moisture that can create frizz. Drying your hair is where you can create wonderful waves. You can achieve this by towel-drying the hair lightly (by pressing and patting not rubbing , which again create frizz )
Five Best Tips for Wavy Hair.
· When you brush, spray the brush with your hair spray to avoid static.
· If your hair gets caught with the frizz, smoothing a tumble-dryer sheet over your hair will help smooth things down.
· If you have short hair, waves can create unwanted height at the crown. Waves within the hair start two or three inches down the hair shaft and once your hair reaches that length it will start to do stuff you just don’t want.
· Go for regular trims, even if you have long hair. Split ends will create a frizzball at the ends of your hair which destroys the look.
· Wavy hair will not reflect light like straight hair does, so it can often look dull. Make sure that you keep it moisturized.

Five Tips For Curly hair.
1 .If you find your brush is always tangling in your hair, then buy one made of boars hair bristles which does not stick
2 .If you don’t want to buy that brush just use your fingers – they are better for curly hair than most brushes.
3 .If your curls have gone flat over night don’t think you need to style again. Just tip your head up side down and massage the hair near your scalp in a circular motion. This will create volume at the roots and wake up your looks
4 .To protect further dehydration always stop blow drying just before the ends are compeletly dry.Its in the last few minutes of drying that the final water leaves the strands, leading to dehydration and breaking.
5 . Curly heads often think they can only have long hair to look good. Not true.Layered short styles which prevent the hair from spilling outwards work as well as heavy locks.

What is your hair type.
Just like the skin, your hair has a type and if you want your hair to look at its best you need it to treat it with products and techniques that suits it’s type.
At one time, type simply meant either oily or dry, and shampoo dealt with these two things by either moisturizing dry hair or stripping the oil out of greasy hair. How ever not all dry hair required the same amount of moisturizing and not all oily hair responded well.
If you are a woman with curly hair (which is often dry) you will need a lot more moisture on your hair than a woman with chemically treated hair (which is dry at the ends but often greasier at the roots. Put intensive moisture on that hair and you will just end with limp oily looks. Therefore the best way is to determine your hair type is not by deciding if it is oily or dry but by analyzing fundamental structure, which then tells you how to make the most of your hair.
Processed Hair:
Colouring, perming and relaxing do make the hair look great; creating shade and depth-and also thickening the hair when they are applied. But they come at a cost. The chemicals used in these process permanently change the interior of the hair shaft making it prone to breaking, splitting or frizzing. Also the disruption of the cuticle prevents light reflecting from the hair surface, making the processed hair far likely to shine than natural hair.
Taking care for processed hair:
To care for processed hair, adding moisture is the key. But there is always a small problem here.Processed hair is often also combination hair, with oily roots but dry shafts and ends and just as with combination skin, tackling with one leads to problems with the other.Washing processed hair is a delicate balancing act of cleansing roots and moisturizing ends.
Top 5 Tips For Processed Hair:
1) First, to clean your coloured hair choose a shampoo that is especially made for coloured hair. It means it will be more gentle on your hair and will contain ingredients to preserve color. If your hair is permed or relaxed then choose any moisturizing shampoo, but in both cases you make sure you apply it only to your roots and always rub it in well. Then apply a quick burst of water and as the shampoo suds run downs the hair shaft ,massage the hair to remove any dirt and grime. Rinse well.
2) After shampooing, it is time to condition.Use a rich conditioner, mainly at the ends of the hair, smoothing the left overs on your palms to the rest of the shaft. Rinse well.
3)Processed hair is very porus and will drink in any thing you put on it, making it harder for you to rinse out the shampoo and conditioners.Make sure that the water in which you wash your hair is absolutely clear then keep rinsing for one minute more before you put that shower head away.
4)Naturally dry your hair when ever possible-heat can dehydrate hair further.Avoid harsh rubbing with a towel as this can make tangles in the hair increase snapping of the strands. If you are using a blow- dryer, it’s a good idea to first apply a little serum to the ends of the hair to seal in the moisture and also to prevent further dehydration.
5 : Splits travel up the hair harming healthy hair. One sign of real damage is serious tangling when you comb the hair. This shows there are splits or tears in the hair shaft which is causing the hairs to web together.Book in for a trim and ideally have every thing cut from where those tangles start.
