Swelling in the neck ( cervical lymphadenopathy) is one of the commonly presenting symptoms in ENT OPD. Sometimes the painless lumps/ swellings can result from malignant tumors in the head and neck region, like this 14yr old girl suffering from a tumor of the nose( nasopharyngeal carcinoma).
EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT IS CRUCIAL FOR A DISEASE FREE AND HEALTHY FUTURE LIFE .
The responsibility of success, for nasal surgery for nasal polyps is shared equally by the surgeon and the patient.
Apart from meticulous surgical clearance of the disease process, wound care and regular follow up visits by the patient, play a key role in the disease free future.

Nasal bone is one of the most commonly fractured bones in the human body. The most common causes include road traffic accidents, contact sports and physical fights. Early medical advice should be sought, as delayed treatment may lead to permanent cosmetic deformity.

An adult patient presented in OPD, with complaints of difficulty breathing for the past few weeks. Examination showed a large fluid filled sac ( laryngeal cyst) obstructing the airway.
The cyst was excised after securing the airway (tracheostomy), resulting in the symptomatic relief.
Early diagnosis and intervention in such patients can protect them from, morbidity(from tracheostomy) and fatal complication of complete airway obstruction.
