One of the most distinctive elements of the bedroom is the built-in desk, inspired by Japanese interiors and the idea of creating beauty through simplicity and proportion.

The dark timber framework and repetitive grid pattern reference traditional Japanese joinery, while the integrated desk becomes part of the architecture rather than an added piece of furniture. The open shelving is replaced with a more structured, almost architectural composition, giving the workspace a sense of calm and privacy.

Combined with the sculptural black chair, subtle lighting and carefully placed artwork, the space becomes a modern interpretation of Japanese minimalism: warm, tactile and deeply atmospheric.

The character of this bedroom comes from the dialogue between rich, tactile materials.

Dark stained wood brings warmth and depth, while the woven details of the cabinetry add a subtle handcrafted quality. Soft patterned textiles, the sculptural upholstered bed and the natural cowhide rug introduce different layers of texture, keeping the dark palette from feeling heavy.

Against this, the warm plastered walls and creamy upholstery soften the composition. The result is an interior built around contrast dark and light, smooth and textured, refined and organic.

Every zone has its purpose - from the built-in desk and integrated storage to the low media unit and the comfortable reading corner by the window. The custom joinery makes use of the full height of the room while keeping everything visually calm and organised.

The layout creates a natural transition between working, relaxing and resting, without separating these functions too rigidly. A space that feels effortless because every element has been considered.
