Micro & Nano Hair Extensions: 3-Month Loss Rate
• The Norm: Losing or sliding of up to 10–15% of total strands over 3 months is completely normal.
• Why so many? Micro and nano techniques require more strands (200–400 total) due to their tiny size.
The Math:
• Out of 200 strands ➡️ 20–30 lost.
• Out of 300 strands ➡️ 30–45 lost.

Why do bonds slide down after 3 months?
• Natural Shedding: We naturally lose 100–150 hairs daily. After 3 months, too many supporting hairs inside the bond have shed, causing it to slide out during brushing or washing.
• Micro-Sized Bonds: Tiny bonds hook onto very thin base sections. This minimal attachment surface makes them highly sensitive to physical or chemical wear.
• Hair Growth: Hair grows 3–4.5 cm in 3 months. The bonds drop down, start twisting, and catch on the hairbrush much easier.
• Improper Care: Applying masks, conditioners, oils, or alcohol-based heat protectants directly to the roots softens the keratin and ruins the bond.
