ABOUT
Like most species of eucalyptus, Eucalyptus radiata is native to Australia. A very large flowering tree in the myrtle family, Eucalyptus radiata produces fragrant leaves and is also known informally as narrow-leaved peppermint. Eucalyptus is an evergreen tree that grows to the height of over 300 feet, making it one of the world’s tallest trees. It used to be known as a fever tree. There are over 700 varieties of eucalyptus, with over 500 that produce an essential oil. Many of them produce the same actions of Tea Tree and Myrtle essential oils, like all members of the myrtaceae family.

In 2011 a study at Hildelberg University found that Eucalyptus radiata has the second largest abundance of 1.8 cineol (eucalyptol) after Eucalyptus globulus.

ABOUT
Clove was listed in Hildegard’s Medicine, a compilation of early German medicines by highly regarded Benedictine Herbalists, Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179). Native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, the clove tree is a tropical evergreen species that produces thousands of small, fragrant flower buds. These buds are harvested when they ripen to a deep red color, then dried and steam distilled to produce Clove essential oil. Healers in China and India have used clove buds since ancient times as part of their treatments. Eugenol, cloves principal constituent was used in the dental industry for years to numb gums. Clove and Clove Vitality are the same essential oil.

ABOUT
Copaiba essential oil is steam distilled from the gum resin of the Brazilian Copaifera reticulata tree. Native to the Amazon River Basin, these trees can reach 25−40 feet and can live for up to 400 years. Copaiba resin has been used for various purposes throughout the Amazon region since at least the 16th century. It contains a high percentage of the naturally occurring constituent beta-caryophyllene, making it a great choice to add to skin care products or to use for massage.
