Occasional foamy urination is normal, as the speed of urination and other factors can affect this.
But if foamy urine symptoms persist and become more pronounced over time, you should see your doctor. This may be a sign of protein in the urine (proteinuria) and requires further evaluation. Increased protein levels in your urine may mean you have serious kidney problems.
If your urine looks unusually frothy most of the time, your doctor may recommend a urine test to check for elevated protein levels. If the test is positive, further testing may be required to determine the cause of the problem.
