This patient came to me with unfortunately a lot of migrated filler outside the lips and misplaced filler in the lips. We decided to dissolve the filler and then refill with new filler after two weeks. With time the filler industry has evolved for the better. We know much more today than what we did 10 or even 5 years ago. A lot has happened the past years and we now are aware of that fillers can last for years and can also migrate. Therefore it’s very important to dissolve with hyalase if you or your injector notice any misplaced/migrated filler.

A PDO (Polydioxanone) thread lift is a procedure that uses dissolvable biodegradable polyester sutures to rejuvenate and lift sagging skin which in this case we used to lift jowls (superior and inferior) and part of the nasolabial folds. It’s a cheaper and faster alternative to facelift surgery, but the results don’t last as long and aren’t as dramatic. Recovery from the procedure is minimal and it’s often possible to return to work the same day.

So what are PDO cog threads? These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fishhooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.
