Another amazing sports trip ticked off 🤩

I’ve had the best time supporting GB Masters Ultimate Frisbee at the European Championships in Sweden this week, it’s been long days, super hot and sweaty, a couple of torrential downpours, but overall SO SO SO much fun with amazing people!

Plus being reunited with and Dom again to form our medical team gave plenty of learning opportunities and laughs and was the icing on the cake!

It’s been a pleasure working everyday with as my team and then helping with keeping everyone playing and just enjoying the week! Thanks for having me and making me feel truly part of the team! 🥰

As always truly grateful to for giving me the opportunity to support the team and challenge myself too!

Until next time ✌🏼

We reach the final part of this month’s four part series on Working with Athletes with Disabilities, in which we are joined by special guests Rich Potter and Richard Davies – armed forces veterans and single below leg amputees who set world records at the end of last year on their ‘Limb-itless Expedition: Conquering The Himalayas' as the first ever amputees to achieve the half and full length of The Snowman Trek in Bhutan.

With them are Carla Bickerstaffe of Carla Bickerstaffe Sports Therapy and Jenny Lane of Jenny Lane Sports Massage Therapy , both of whom have considerable experience of working with athletes with disabilities.

While discussing the physically and mentally demanding trek, the guests share insights into the rigorous preparations, the role of sports therapy & sports massage, and the importance of self-care in their endeavor.

The discussion also touches on the emotional hurdles faced, especially when unforeseen challenges forced Rich Davies to withdraw, underscoring the human aspect and the relentless spirit of perseverance.
