And what can I say about AG…well, after she studied human ecology she got more aware how responsible we are of our environment and what the consequences of our impact are. So she started by learning herself how to reduce our print in the environment by using natural and renewable resources. One day we were talking about how good it would be to produce by ourselves the daily products, so we started by eating healthier and buying our groceries from the local market and as much organic as we could afford. But then we decided to go a little bit further and we baked our own bread, prepared our own conserves and natural frozen foods…. But then we thought that well, we could still do a little bit more. For us and for our environment. Then we started to produce our own cosmetics and cleaning products all based on natural ingredients and respectful with the environment. Today, after all that time discovering how to become more respectful with our own bodies, ourselves and the environment, we can present another little step in our lives; we decided to try to spread our experience and knowledge acquired among those years with all of you!!! By founding: La Botica de Pachamama. In La Botica de Pachamama we are dedicated to the development of high quality natural cosmetics that truly help your skin and keep it healthy. Cosmetics that brings to you all the benefits of Mother Nature; so it was kind of obvious that we should name this amazing and exciting project: “Mother Earth’s Pharmacy” or La Botica de Pachamama. Today we can present our comprehensive line of cosmetics for face, body and hair care. Of course, we have to say that our production process, it is fully respectful and responsible to the flora and fauna around us and 100% handmade. We make all our products by hand and with dedication, without any synthetic or artificial ingredients. We work only with natural ingredients, and the production processes that can guarantee that the best qualities and benefits from the raw materials can arrive intact to our skin. We work completely handmade by our own recipes, the result of techniques and formulas that have been tested since ancient times, current knowledge and our own experience gained through theses years. We only use pure oils and shortenings, mineral and thermal waters, medicinal plants, bee products and aromatherapy pure essential oils. We try to get all of them from ecological and organic resources. Thanks to all this, we managed to create a cosmetic product line with medicinal properties that are good for the balance or your skin and energies; 100% Natural and Handmade and respectful with the Nature. A bunch of products that will bring to you all the properties and energies from the earth and will help you to reconnect with Pachamama and her healing powers. Our Stands:
- We do not approve of animal mistreat: that is why we don’t test any of our products on animals and why we only use bee products (as honey or bee wax) as our only animal resources.
- All our cosmetic is Vegetarian: even if some of our products are completely vegan some of them contains honey or bee wax.
- We encourage local and fair trade.
- 100% Natural and Handmade Production: as we already mentioned we produce all our products by hand with only natural ingredients, we are proud of this!!! We have as a goal to become 100% organic and fair-trade; not only because of the benefits of this products. Also because we believe in a sustainable, thoughtful market that not only respects the environment but the people in it.
- We stand up for a job with decent and fair labor rights by encouraging a good working environment and fair working conditions.
- We produce in small quantities: that way we are more responsible of our production and we can ensure that the products are always fresh and full of therapeutic properties.
- We encourage the 3 R’s (Recycle, Reduce and Re-Use): that is why we offer the option of returning back the jars and bottles to give them as much lives and purposes as they can have. In exchange and for promoting it, everyone who helps us by returning their jars and bottles will receive a discount on the next purchase or samples of our products.
