Your cosmetics might be hidden ingredients that might be disrupting your health. New studies has shown PFAS are presents in make up and cosmetics. So it is important to know some key Points and How to Avoid Them!

PFAS are synthetic chemicals found in many everyday products, including cosmetics, where they help with texture, water resistance, and longevity. Dr. Joel Schlessinger, a board-certified dermatologist, explains their common uses in makeup and skin care.

Notably, PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid), a type of PFAS, was identified as a possible human carcinogen in 2014 and officially classified as a human carcinogen in 2023. The CDC links certain PFAS exposure to health risks.

It is very important to be aware of what's hiding your cosmetics.
