At age 8 she did her first radio interview, by the age of 13, she was doing radio jingles and adverts all over Gambia. At 16 she was doing backing vocals for many Gambian artist the likes of JGJ, da fugitivz, dance hall masters to name but a few.. She worked as a DJ at west coast radio and was nominated best female vocalist along side Ndey Nyang Njie. She then went to become a well known face at GRTS. She now lives in the UK where she works in Marketing. She studied film and television production and has co hosted on Talk Senegambia show and interviewed Fatima Jabbie at the mirror boy premiere. She co wrote and sang on a movie premiered on Italian TV called Bakhita. She is Currently working on upcoming projects in TV, PR and marketing. As she puts it flying the Gambian flag, promoting and selling Gambia is the aim!
She is the Mandinka Princess, oh yea she is so Royal. We’ve managed to get her back on screen. Her voice, her cadence, I use to look at her with a special feeling of admiration, as she flows with the five drops of the Shakespearian rhythm. MaNyenya Dambell can make you fall in love with Paris, oh listen as she pronounces it. "Pah riihhh" she whispered with pride and joy. I am honoured connecting to such an angel... she will encourage you, make you feel you are the best in your trade. She is the light, the Gambian pride.
