From Clara to camera-ready Clara ✨

Did this makeup & hair for my good friend Clara earlier this year for a video shoot, and I love how the final look came together. 🤍

The goal wasn’t to transform her into someone else — just to polish everything for camera while still keeping her features and personality very much her.

Fresh skin, softly defined eyes, a little warmth and colour, and hair that feels polished without looking overly styled.

And yes, doing makeup for a friend somehow comes with 50% makeup and 50% catching up. 😂

A big part of rebuilding a business is questioning things that used to feel “normal.”

We’ve decided to renew our studio lease—but that doesn’t mean continuing with exactly the same business model.

Having a studio still makes sense operationally. Now I’m asking a different question:

Is the space earning enough for the role it plays in the business?

That’s what led us to introduce hot-desking for makeup artists.

The studio isn’t unnecessary. I simply want the space to work harder instead of relying only on our own bookings to justify its cost.

I don’t know yet whether hot-desking will become a meaningful revenue stream, but it’s something I want to test properly.
