As a Senior BIM Coordinator, Bao leads the project BIM team in developing construction models and planning deliverables. Working directly with the models, he gets first dibs on visualising the buildings in 3D and witnessing them gradually materialise before his eyes day by day.

His team is essential in ensuring that the models effectively support issue identification and coordination with technical teams, as well as assisting the production team in delivering projects on time and with better efficiency. Coordinating across the three main disciplines—architecture, structure, and MEP—requires not only strong technical knowledge, but also effective communication, active listening, and collaboration to find practical solutions whenever issues arise.

He feels motivated to continuously learn and improve to conquer the unique challenges each project brings, because a solution that works for one project may not necessarily work for another. “You are only as good as your last work” is a quote he keeps in mind to constantly push himself.

Believing Woh Hup provides the right environment to grow both professionally and personally, he is also blessed with likeminded colleagues who are supportive and equally driven. They are also whom he goes on runs and exercises with after office hours, where they exchange experiences and build stronger relationships and networks that enrich his work life.

Did you know? Queens was the tallest condominium in Singapore when it was completed in 2002! Featuring three distinctive towers standing 38 storeys tall, it served as a prominent landmark in the Queenstown district.

With Woh Hup's regular volunteering sessions, XinYi was encouraged to participate in these initiatives for the convenience and company. She then found them to be very meaningful as it gave her an opportunity to help people in need and give back to the community.

The positive social impact she has made is reflected in how some of the elderly and children she has helped were reluctant for the volunteers to leave and even asked them to visit again. Seeing their smiles affirms that her small acts of kindness brought satisfaction not just to herself but to others.

Spending time with the elderly and listening to their life stories also taught her valuable lessons and inspired a greater appreciation for life.

🏏 The last two Sundays at Kranji Recreation Centre were full of spirit, where 34 teams from our workforce gave their all at the Woh Hup Cricket Tournament.

Some of their team leaders and our Chairman also dropped by to show their support. A big congratulations to all our winning teams! 💪

Completed in 2016, Corals at Keppel Bay is our second project materialising the geometrical and futuristic vision of renowned architect, Daniel Libeskind, shortly after our first stint working on Reflections at Keppel Bay.

The luxury marina living has 367 units along the southern waterfront, comfortably private from the hustle and bustle of the city with green spaces around, while conveniently located a short distance from an integrated resort and one of Singapore's largest malls.

We are proud to partner with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) for the Build with Purpose Queen Bee Programme – Built Environment Edition this year.

As the main programme partner for the Society Impact segment, Woh Hup had the opportunity to share our Corporate Purpose Journey and how we strive to Do Well, Do Good through our volunteering and social impact initiatives.

Our Executive Director, Mr Eugene Yong, shared Woh Hup’s journey with approximately 44 participants from various organisations, highlighting how businesses can play a meaningful role in creating positive social impact.

We were also pleased to have Shelley Chang from our subsidiary, Tanglin Corporation (TCPL) share her personal volunteering journey. As one of Woh Hup’s active volunteers and a strong advocate for giving back, Shelley shared her experiences and what volunteering means to her; a reminder that social impact can start with something as simple as giving our time.

But sharing is only the beginning.

As part of the programme, Woh Hup will be hosting a series of taster volunteering sessions in October, where participating organisations will have the opportunity to volunteer alongside Woh Hup volunteers and experience firsthand how we engage with the community.

We look forward to welcoming our fellow corporate participants, volunteering together and creating meaningful experiences for the communities we serve.

It was delightful meeting students with vocations in the built environment at BCA's IBEW 2026! Across the different exhibition rooms, they had the opportunity to explore the latest technology in the industry, bringing them insights to the exciting future of careers in the sector.

Our Director of QA/QC Mr Selvamani Murugappan also came by to engage with them, sharing about his journey and experiences in QA/QC!

On 29 August, we saw a turn up of over 1,400 attendees at our annual WSHE Campaign at the Singapore EXPO, where authority representatives, business partners, staff and workforce came together for one shared vision.

Demonstrating exemplary safety practices and behaviours through skits and talent shows, everyone was reminded that safety is our top priority in our line of business, and not simply words recited during our safety pledge led by our Chairman Mr Kim Yong.

The award ceremony serves to reward individuals who championed for a safe workplace, and motivate others to learn from them. Game booths were also set up to bring fun and excitement to our workforce, with prizes to take home.

We are honoured to have clinched all three BCA Awards that we were nominated for at IBEW 2026, and we are immensely proud of and grateful for our teams and business partners who made this achievement possible!

Here's to everyone keeping the industry in progress, leveraging technology and innovation to improve the built environment sector, and challenging one another to continually seek higher standards and drive transformation.

Over two weekends in August, a handful of our colleagues took on the HYROX challenge in Chengdu and Bangkok — pushing their limits, getting stronger and, most importantly, having each other’s backs along the way.

Because life at Woh Hup is more than just work. It’s about the friendships we build, the bonds we create, and the experiences that bring us closer — growing stronger together, in work and in life.
