Hello 👋 and thank you to all new followers!

Thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself and the hows and whys this little biz of mine came about😁

My name is Sylvy. I'm a mum to two boys, Reuben (left), 11yo and Ezra (right), 8yo. Ezra is my eczema baby! If you swipe left to the 2nd pic, you'll see one part of his eczema, which we struggled with from his birth till he was 6 turning 7.

In 2014, I was retrenched from my job. At the same time, I found out i was expecting my second boy 😅 i struggled to maintain some sense of sanity and independence through freelance writing and editing while being a SAHM to a toddler and baby. Crazy and perhaps totally doable for some people (but I struggled like hell!)

Sayang Our Skin was birthed in 2018 when a friend, whose two younger kids had terrible eczema, suggested that we start something together and bring in products and brands that we found beneficial for skin health. Together, we both learnt that eczema and sensitive skin management goes beyond topical cream; it is a complete overhaul of lifestyle and diet habits, as well as a transformation of mindset. Needless to say, there were many points in Ezra's eczema journey that left me feeling helpless, stupid, and useless as a mother. Why couldn't I just get him to stop scratching?? How many more bloodstained sheets could I handle? Was it something I ate or did when I was pregnant with him that caused his eczema?

Although SOS is still a small business and I am now running it alone, I am still passionate about skin health and offering others in similar predicaments better alternatives. I may not know everything and I am certainly not medically trained nor fit to offer professional medical advice, but I can share my journey and what I've learnt that has helped me.

The last pic shows how Ezra's skin healed, over a week and a little more of overhauling every single detergent we used at home as well as frequent application of 's amazing Lavender Cocoa Butter. It's sold out right now but we will restock asap!
