Sofwave is a FDA-cleared, non-invasive ultrasound device used for skin tightening, lifting, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB) technology to deliver multiple high-frequency ultrasound beams simultaneously and in parallel, concentrating thermal energy at a controlled depth of approximately 1.5mm within the mid-dermis.
Targeting the mid-dermis, the ultrasound energy generates controlled thermal coagulation zones within the dermal tissue. This results with the heat inducing an immediate contraction of existing collagen fibres, while also initiating a wound-healing response that stimulates fibroblast activity and supports the formation of new collagen.
Over time, this process contributes to dermal remodelling and gradual improvements in skin firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality.
