2023 is coming to an end. And this time last year I was all about getting fit post-baby with this new body.

And I did just that 💪🏾

2023 -you were interesting, I stepped out of my comfort zone and said more YES than I expected, you challenge me more, gave me more than I could ever ask for and now we are ending this year by starting over in a new city.

Man.. 2023 you did not give me a break but you indeed made me tougher.

Making changes, moving cities, shifting careers & priorities while still figuring out how to be a mom to a beautiful toddler. It’s 😮‍💨

One step at a time 🪜👟

Every other day, I bounce from ‘what the f**k am I doing’ to ‘I’m cool I’m here’ to ‘I don’t know what the f**k I’m doing’ like ping pong.

I honestly don’t know what 2024 will be like but I’m manifesting and I’ll be bringing the positive good vibes. This isn’t forever. It can only go up from here.

Freya will flourish in school, I gotta learn to slow down. Remind myself I don’t have to say YES to everything.

2024, I don’t just want to survive, we are gonna thrive.

9 months IN 🔁 9 months OUT

To be fair though, she was in there for 39 weeks. It was more than 9 months. Women are usually pregnant for more than 9 months aka 40 weeks is considered normal pregnancy.

Anyway I digress! 😝I used to think I knew what balance meant - coaching, training, competing, resting wasn’t balance. Having a baby has taught me the true meaning of balance. I work, I train, and I take the time off to give my full attention to freya. And some days it doesn’t involve training too. That’s balance. ⚖️

Whole 50

Day 12 of 50;
Here’s what I’ve been doing.
🥗Eat at home and only eat out once a week. If I were to eat out, I choose something less oil, no fried food and dressing on the side. I meal prep a lot.
🚶‍♀️I move the body everyday with 1 active rest day. For me, that’s playing and bringing freya out. I go to the gym 4x a week and hit my 10,000-12,000 steps and lastly the biggest one of them all!
💦Drink. 💦Water. 💦Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!

Sounds simple. You know it’s not. It was all about making small intrinsic changes and being more strict with myself.

Before I was less strict. Schedule change? I couldn’t prep. I would eat whatever I wanted outside. And I didn’t feel good about it. My energy was low, I felt sluggish and I was craving more snacks.

There were no instant change but slowly incrementally I saw the changes.

I love Christmas 🎄just like everyone else. It is just something magical about this time of the year isn’t it. The year is coming to an end. A whole new year is about to begin & It’s like we get to turn a page & do it all over again but better.
It’s still soo crazy to think that I’m a mom now. I ended last year pregnant 🤰🏽with baby Freya and this year we get to experience all the first with her. It’s all soo exciting to have a kid to spend it with tbh. 🐥We got her all dressed up like a little elf and it was the cutest. 🎅🏼
This moment is what it’s all about.

I have a secret love for eating food out of a lunch box.
Is it just me?

if u have been following me for a while. You know I prep my meals A LOT. I love meal prepping! But ever since I’ve gotten pregnant, my meal preps have gotten boring….

So, this week I’m amping it up!! And it’s going to be my over 100 grams Protein Kimchi Fried Rice.

This fried rice takes only about 10 mins to make or less. And It’s amazing!!

For the longest time I have some form of food fear. I categorized some food that I can eat and cannot eat.

And when if I do eat those food, I let the guilt eat me up inside out. I’ve learnt through the years that eating healthy doesn’t mean eliminating foods I love but the opposite.

It is learning how to incorporate foods I love within my life in a more sustainable approach.

Once i have learnt this and accepted this…
Eating has been such a joy.
