Natural cosmetics is a very broad term and, unfortunately, is not particularly controlled by anyone. You can put 70% of silicones in a jar, smack chemical perfumes and microplastics, season with paraben, put 0.12% rosemary extract for chic and call it natural cosmetics. Rosemary extract, of course, will be in large letters right on the most noticeable part of the package. Voila — the "natural" cream is ready. This is greenwashing.

If there is no international certification badge, for example, COSMOS Natural, such cosmetics can contain anything, be tested on animals and packed in the most non-recyclable of plastics. To recognize such a greenwashing, there is only one way out — to learn to read the compositions.
