+57.4 cm of new bone grown across his skeleton in 5 years.
Nobody else in the world has been through what he's been through. 3 leg lengthenings (+7 cm tibia, +8 cm femur, +5 cm tibia, +20 cm of height total). Bilateral clavicle widening (+2.7 cm per side, +5.4 cm total). Bilateral humerus lengthening (+6 cm per side, +12 cm of reach total). Five surgeries, all with us, all complete.
Before going home, he had one last talk with Dr. Yurttas. What he said in those few minutes is something no other patient on the planet can offer. He's the only one who knows.

Limb lengthening, quadrilateral with Fitbone. 1 month in. We asked our patient how it's been going.
He's lengthening both tibias and both femurs at the same time. 4 Fitbone nails, all internal, all working in parallel. 5 cm gained so far.
His answer was direct. The afternoons feel great. The nights are hard. That's the honest version of the process, told by someone living it.

Quick check-in with Arnold today. He's about 1 month into his leg lengthening.
We caught him in the rehab center doing extra exercises after his daily physical therapy. Nobody assigned them. He just decided he wanted to.
That's what makes the rest possible. Arnold isn't doing extra exercises by accident. He's doing them because he can, whenever he wants, in a space built for exactly that.
Curious what limb lengthening looks like under one roof? Reach out.

Bilateral humerus lengthening with Fitbone. Lengthening phase successfully completed.
6 cm of new bone in each humerus. 12 cm of added reach in total. Both arms lengthened entirely from inside the bone using the Fitbone system.
Throughout the entire process, the patient lived without any external hardware. No frames, no pin sites, just the internal mechanism doing its work day by day.
Next stage: consolidation, where the new bone fully hardens.

21 patients. 21 stories. One thing in common.
Different countries, different goals, different methods. LON, Fitbone, Precice. What ties them together is the experience of going through limb lengthening with the same team, in the same place.
This is what real reviews look like.

💙 Pin site care during limb lengthening - LON method dressing change
In this video, we show a dressing change and pin site care session from a limb lengthening patient in the lengthening phase. The video is filmed from the patient's point of view, offering a first-person look at what regular pin site care looks like at the rehabilitation center.
Pin site care is one of the most important parts of aftercare in the LON (Lengthening Over Nails) method. The LON method uses a temporary external fixator connected to an internal intramedullary nail. The external fixator is attached to the bone through pins that pass through the skin. These pin sites need to be cleaned and dressed regularly to prevent infection and maintain healthy tissue around the hardware.
At our center, dressing changes and pin site care are performed by trained nursing staff as part of the weekly routine. The process includes cleaning the skin around each pin, applying antiseptic solution, and replacing the bandages with fresh sterile dressings. This care continues throughout the entire lengthening phase and until the external fixators are removed after the target height is reached.
The LON method lengthens the bone gradually at 1 mm per day through distraction osteogenesis. The external fixator is used only during the active lengthening phase. Once the desired length is achieved, the external fixator is removed through a minor procedure. The internal nail stays in place to support the bone through the consolidation phase until full healing.
Consistent and careful pin site care makes a real difference in recovery. Clean pin sites reduce the risk of infection, keep the skin healthy, and make the overall experience more comfortable for the patient.
Our patients at the center receive regular dressing changes, daily nursing checks, one-on-one physiotherapy 5 days a week, and weekly in-person follow-ups with Prof. Dr. Yüksel Yurttaş throughout the entire process.

Patient shares why he chose Fitbone for his leg lengthening.
3 weeks after Fitbone femur lengthening surgery, our patient talks about his experience so far. No external device, minimal scar, and the ability to go about his daily life. Walking, showering, everyday routine, all manageable at this stage.
The Fitbone system is a fully internal, motorized intramedullary nail. No external fixators, no pin sites, no visible hardware. Everything works under the skin.
