Umewahi kujiuliza ni kwanini Ng'ombe au Mbuzi anaweza “kutafuna” hata akiwa amelala wakati wa usiku? Je, anatafuna nini wakati hakuna chakula mdomoni?

Wakati wa usiku wenye utulivu sisi watu wa vijijini ukiwa zako umepumzika huku kimya kikiwa kimetawala lakini ukisikiliza kwa makini, utasikia sauti ya taratibu “krr… krr…” kutoka zizini.

Basi utakuta ni Ng'ombe au Mbuzi wakifanya kitu cha ajabu wanatafuna chakula ambacho tayari walishakimeza muda mrefu!

Basi watu wengi huwa wanashindwa kuelewa inawezekanaje wakati hawapo machungani ? Basi usije kudhani ni uchawi si uchawi bali ni mbinu ya ajabu ya maisha inayowafanya waishi hata kwenye mazingira magumu.

Wanyama hawa Wanakuwa na tumbo lenye sehemu nne maalum hivyo chakula hakimeng’enywi mara moja k**a ilivyo kwetu.

Hii ndiyo siri yao maana humeza haraka kwanza
Wanapokula na wanameza majani haraka bila kutafuna sana (hasa wanapokuwa porini ili kuepuka hatari).

Chakula kinahifadhiwa tumboni (rumen)
Huko ndani kuna mabilioni ya bakteria wanaosaidia kuvunja majani magumu.

Wanacheua (kurudisha chakula mdomoni)
Wakiwa wametulia hasa mara nyingi usiku au wakilala wanarudisha chakula mdomoni na kuanza kukitafuna tena polepole.
