The simplest meditation that anyone can practice is meditation to relax and renew consciousness. The idea is to take a comfortable sitting or lying position, breathe deeply and with each exhalation imagine how every part of the body, from the heels to the crown of the head, relaxes and becomes heavier. You should not let extraneous thoughts into your head, you just need to monitor your breathing and ensure that every part of the body remains relaxed.

Secret # 1

There is no single correct posture for meditation. You should choose the position of the body in which you can one hundred percent relax. If for this you need to lie on the floor or sit in an easy chair - please! Only advanced yogis meditate in the lotus position: they are so comfortable in such a position that they can really relax in it and even fall asleep. Untrained people shouldn't even do this practice.

Secret # 2

To achieve deep and complete relaxation, it is necessary to painstakingly “work through” every part of the body, every finger, every muscle group with an inner gaze. Sometimes it is helpful to go back to the "problem" spot again.

Getting rid of muscle clamps is necessary not only for meditation, but for health in general: in areas of increased tension, blood circulation is disturbed. If you can truly relax, your organs will be better enriched with oxygen and nutrients.

Secret number 3

People who have experienced the obvious benefits of meditation try to meditate not only in the evening, but also in the morning. If time is limited, then it is better to give preference to evening meditation, as it will relieve annoying thoughts that prevent you from falling asleep at night.

Secret # 4

A well-chosen location means a lot to a successful practice. It is impossible to concentrate on one's own breathing, if the neighbor upstairs is banging with a hammer, a child is screaming in the next room, etc. You need to choose a room for meditation in which no one will really bother you for 15 minutes.

Secret # 5

Sometimes it is difficult to take the first step, so you should not focus on 20-40 minute meditations from the very beginning. It is best to start with 5 minutes a day and then gradually increase your practice time.

Secret # 6

If you choose to meditate in a sitting position, keep your back straight. It will not be easy at first, but over time you will develop skill and a straight back will no longer be a problem.

Secret # 7

Having mastered one type of meditation, you can try something new for the sake of experiment: for example, meditation on fire, healing qigong, meditations related to spiritual searches, etc. Variety will only strengthen the interest in the practice.
