Why tangerines are useful and how to eat them

Tangerines have long become an invariable symbol of the New Year, along with salad and sparkling salad. However, these beloved citrus fruits are not only tasty, but also very healthy. Tangerines are a real storehouse of vitamins and beneficial fruit acids. Due to the high content of vitamin A, fruits help in the prevention of "loss" of vision, improve the condition of the skin, bones and teeth.

Vitamin C - a powerful natural antioxidant - stimulates the production of immunoglobulin, which provides reliable protection of the body against viruses and pathogenic bacteria. In addition, the vitamin protects the cells of the body from free radical damage, prevents the development of inflammatory processes, slows down aging, nourishes the skin, gives it a natural glow and protects against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Vitamin B1 has a beneficial effect on the nervous system, improves memory and concentration. Tangerines are also rich in vitamin D, which is especially needed during the cold season, when we see little of the sun. The vitamin improves the functioning of the brain and cardiovascular system and may even slow down aging. Another important vitamin found in tangerines is vitamin K: it strengthens bones and joints, gives elasticity to the walls of blood vessels and prevents their calcification.

Despite their sweetness, tangerines are a low-calorie product: fruits contain only about 50 kcal per 100 g. Tangerines do not provoke a sharp jump in blood sugar, which means they will not cause an increase in appetite and will not increase the risk of overeating. Fruits contain a decent amount of fiber, which helps to detoxify the body and normalize the digestive system. The main thing is not to remove white films from tangerines - they contain up to 80% of all nutrients.
