This code name is one of the main techniques of applying shadows. You will need three shades: light, dark and intermediate – one with which you can create a transition between the first two. A dark shade not only creates an accent on the outer corners of the eyes, but also separates the movable eyelid from the stationary one. As a result, the lines outline the eyes in such a way that their shape acquires the oblongness of a banana - hence the name of the technique.
