Chamomile is an effective remedy for beautiful skin that can be found in any pharmacy.
Chamomile is widely known as a medicinal plant, and tea from it is often used to relieve stress, calm nerves and solve sleep problems. On the skin, a decoction of chamomile flowers has a similar soothing effect, moisturizes it and helps fight imperfections. We tell why we all need to go to the nearest pharmacy for chamomile as soon as possible.
Chamomile is especially good for its versatility: it is great for all skin types. Chamomile gently moisturizes dry and sensitive skin, relieves the feeling of tightness, and helps to cope with peeling and irritation. If your skin is oily and prone to imperfections, the antibacterial components in chamomile will help reduce inflammation and normalize the production of skin sebum.
Coumarin - a plant substance in the composition of flowers - triggers the regeneration of damaged skin cells, helps to effectively fight post-acne and other microdamages. The powerful antioxidant carotene evens out the skin texture, protects it from damage by free radicals and slows down the aging process.
How to use chamomile for skin
Dried chamomile flowers can be bought at a pharmacy: they are sold in filter bags for brewing or simply crushed. Brew chamomile in the proportion indicated on the package (usually a tablespoon - or one filter bag - per 1 glass of water) in boiling water, leave to infuse for 30-40 minutes, then strain and cool to room temperature.
Use the resulting decoction as a tonic for the face and neck: apply to the skin twice a day (after cleansing it), after which you can apply a nourishing cream. Another option is to freeze the decoction and wipe your face in the morning. Chamomile ice cubes will help reduce puffiness and give your face a healthy glow.
