“I sense the smell of apples which are heated by the sun, filled with rain, wind, and the songs of birds in our garden. When you are at the age of 5 or 6, you look for a very responsible job! For example, it is to gather all apples in the garden. The two big baskets made from vines, I drag them to the apple tree that is first in the line in harvesting works. Maybe if I twist myself I can even get into that one basket.
At the end of harvesting work, each basket would be full of apples.

- So lady, you are my first on the list for today – I’m talking to the Apple tree.

It is probably 100 years old tree. Grandma told me once, that the garden was here at the time when the previous owner had got the house. The apple tree gets older with time, the branches become more twisted, and that’s why sometimes if it isn’t in the mood, it is possible to be kicked in the head or back.

Or a big spider can come down on the ground just to check meticulously are the things going well. I try to prevent that and silently as a snake I’m bringing all those apples to the baskets.

In the summer apples make that sweet honey smell in the yard of our house. That is the smell of my childhood.

I’ve taken one apple and it is ripe and filled with juice like in just one second it going to blow. it filled with bees. I supposed I need to inform them carefully, that their harvesting work is finished and they can leave. Next to that apple lays a rotten one with brown peel. I have very clear management of the process. One basket is for apples for juice or to eat. And another one is for rotten apples.
There are things to do for a few days because our garden is packed with apple trees.
There are at least five. I’m going from one tree to another. After harvesting at the end I lived clean green grass under one tree and moved to another one. And then I just hear cracking and bang sound.

- Oh, that’s a new one from a lady Apple tree. One, then two, then a tree. And so on.

So that’s how the days go in the summertime.”
