Even if you’re dedicated to keeping single-use plastics in your life to a minimum, there are certain necessary toiletries that you might’ve excluded from that endeavor. Thanks to a new product on Kickstarter, you can cross deodorant off the list.

The Kiima is a refillable deodorant applicator that you’ll never have (or want) to throw away. Not only do you get to choose from one of six matte-finished colors—black, white, peach, blush, light green, or light blue—for the applicator itself, but you also have plenty of options for the deodorant. The makers of Kiima have partnered with several manufacturers that produce biodegradable, cruelty-free, vegan deodorant refills with scents that include lavender, coconut lime, vanilla, woodland, seaside, and more.As for the sizable chunk of deodorant always stuck in your applicator when you get to the bottom, the Kiima makes sure it never gets wasted. When you reach the end of one deodorant pod, it stays in the clip fastened to the top of your applicator. Remove that clip, insert a new pod, and click the clip back into place on top of it. That way, you can finish the old chunk before you start a new one.The Kiima is available on Kickstarter, with prices starting at $23 (which will get you one applicator and two deodorant refills). Higher tiers include more refills, and you'll be asked for your preferred scent after the campaign is over. For DIY enthusiasts, there’s a kit that includes an applicator and a mold that you can use to make your own deodorant pods. Your Kiima is expected to arrive—in plastic-free packaging—by December 2020.
