Rutooro is sure the sweetest lingua there is; Rutooro songs have proved beyond doubts in the skies that songs especially love ballads even from the traditional times have one of the sweetest romantic sensations ever. Rutooro lyrics will make anyone go, "Awwww! Love is so beautiful!
This is impeccably depicted in Akiiki Romeo's love lit lyrics in Garuka, one of the finest blues I love playing every lovely moment i get.

"Garuka talks about love gone wrong. It highlights the pain of betrayal and mistrust.
I composed it in 1991 while I was still playing music at Wooden Hotel in FortPortal. I recorded it in 1993 at Talanta Studio in Zana, Kampala; with the late Tony Ssengo who formerly was with Afrigo, The Big 5 and Bandindaz Band. The background voices in that song are by Peter Kasule.
It is one of the first songs I ever recorded", the music soul touch sums up about the song himself.

Ladies and gentlemen, Batooro and Batoorokati and the whole world, let’s give a standing ovation to the most special Devotion, Glory, Celebration and Adoration of Tooro, Tooro Kokasemera.

We grew up listening to this song, undoubtedly the best lyrical awareness about Tooro composed by Mr. Ivan Kabwijamu Adyeeri wayback in 1989 and performed by Tooro Nanga Singers in 1992.

The song awash with praise about the endemic beauty, serenity, the goodness of Batooro, the finest climate of Tooro and one of the special wonders of the world; Empaako among others to me is the true Tooro Anthem that is sure sweet for any proud person from the most beautiful place on earth; Tooro.

The phrase “Tooro Kokasemera” is commonly used by different people in reference to the goodness of Tooro and is nowadays hashtagged on different posts about Tooro on social media.

Mr. Kabwijamu Ivan is the same man that recently composed the Fort Portal Anthem and was an exceptional instrumentalist at St. John’s Cathedral, Fort Portal.

On a special note; Tooro Nanga Singers are the performers of the current Tooro Kingdom Anthem.

Mutansiga is the song that was at the helm of every activity and playing almost every time on all radio stations in Tooro when Omukama Oyo Nyimba of Tooro was at the peak of his popularity in the kingdom between 2013 and 2014.

Mutansiga, a danceable cultural single written by Kaahwa Kansengerwa released in 2012 is the most entertaining cultural song about Tooro in recent times.

“I realized we lacked a cultural song to represent our kingdom and the entire goodness of Tooro and decided to come up with one”, Muzamil’s love for Tooro inspired him to come up this massive cultural musical prowess.

The song talks about the pride for Tooro kingdom and the well naturally endowed Tooro, just like no other place on earth (Tooro Burungibuliza).

One of the best traditional performers, Muzamil has other songs including , , , , , , ObugwetwaBwaitu, and his latest; one of the sweetest songs in the Rutooro dialect and has worked with other artistes including Kaahwa Kansengerwa, Linette and Rhita,

Regarded by many as Tooro’s finest artiste, Kigambo brought to the limelight Tooro’s music when he won 2PAM awards in the early 2000’s making Tooro’s presence on the music arena felt.

Itaka is a song he sung in Rutooro, one of the sweetest dialects that highlights the importance of land as the beginning and the end of all life, the reason it should protected and treasured.
An environmentalists’ favorite, this song has surely done Tooro proud and made Batooro go like,”Hallooooo Uganda!”

Itaka is from Kigambo’s 2003 album titled (The Platform) that included songs like , , , and others earning Kigambo 2PAM Awards, a Kisima Award, a Rotary International Vocational Award and a Tooro Eyanyenkya Gold Medal making him the most awarded artiste in Tooro yet.

“I wrote this song due to the rampant sale of valuable land by the youth to go and do petty jobs like wheel barrow pushing in Kampala and the lack of land by many youth”, the Tooro icon speaks of his inspiration

Itaka is one of the songs that opened the gateway to Tooro Music clearing out myths like Rutooro is hard to sing due to its said slowness.

“Itaka kintu kikuru, niyo ndugirro kandi emaliirra yaitu. Tuzalirwaho, twomerra haitaka….”
