Doctors on mission International in partnership with Mitooma District local government, Rurama Church of Uganda, Hautement Smile Uganda and local organizations organized, and facilitated a 1 day medical / surgical camp at Rurama Health center II, Kiyanga, Ruhiinda North, Mitooma District where we saw close to 500 people. We provided free medical, surgical, dental, Eye care and HIV testing & counseling. We also provided health education, vaccination, and health care.

Doctors on mission International is a non for profit volunteer led organization in south-western Uganda uniting medical teams across the country to provide medical care while spreading God's word through medical mission. We are thankful to God for this amazing opportunity to serve God through this outreach.

Community Capacity Enhancement is paramount in having a safer environment for young people…creating a pool of peer educators who ease up the work of information dissemination is quite important so to reduce on the myths and misconceptions around reproductive health

Quite a great submission from our Vice President and clearly cements the ground for young girls who got pregnant amidst the lockdown…we speak the same language with her and many other CSOs, girls deserve equal rights pregnant or not pregnant…

More of such VCAT sessions play a great role in uplifting values of doctors and other essential health workers towards service provision especially safe abortion and post abortion care…our goal is to scale up these trainings to reach out to as many health workers as possible.
