🕊️ TRIBUTE TO OUR KING, SOLOMON KAYONGO 🕊️

There are moments when words fail, and this is one of them.

Yesterday, we lost not just a model, not just a titleholder, but a brother, an inspiration, and one of our kings.

The Mr & Miss Gorgeous International Uganda Family is deeply saddened by the passing of Solomon Kayongo, Mr Gorgeous International Uganda 2023.

Solomon was a true runway king whose presence, confidence, and passion inspired many. He carried his title with pride and represented everything that our platform stands for determination, excellence, humility, and courage.

As a sickler, Solomon faced challenges that many people will never understand, yet he never allowed sickle cell disease to stop him from chasing his dreams. He showed up, he worked hard, he walked the runway with confidence, and he inspired others to believe that their circumstances should never define their potential. His strength was remarkable, and his journey became a source of hope for many.

For us, Solomon will always be remembered as one of the kings who helped shape the story of Mr Gorgeous International Uganda. His smile, his energy, his dedication, and the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten.

Today, our hearts are heavy. We mourn a young life gone too soon, and we hold on to the memories, lessons, and inspiration he leaves behind.

To his family, friends, and everyone grieving this painful loss, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers.

Rest peacefully, King Solomon. Your runway may have ended here, but your legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

We wish to inform the general public that Uganda will not be participating in this year’s Mr & Miss Gorgeous International competitions.

Our Queen and King will unfortunately not be representing us this season. The international event has faced several changes in venue and scheduling initially set for South Africa, then moved to Uganda, later shifted to Nigeria, and most recently extended from October to December. With all these adjustments coming after our preparations and investments, it has become difficult for us to continue this year.

We sincerely appreciate the journey and effort put in by our team and remain committed to uplifting pageantry in Uganda and beyond. We also wish all participating countries the very best as they showcase their talent and culture on the international stage.
