There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who share the same passion for barbering. The energy, creativity, and love for the craft light a fire in you that’s hard to put into words. Barbercon reminded us that barbering is more than cutting hair—it’s artistry, community, education, and purpose.
I’m incredibly proud of our students for stepping outside their comfort zones, putting their skills on display, and having the courage to compete. Watching them represent Abilene Barber Academy with confidence and passion was one of my proudest moments as an educator.
This experience inspired us, challenged us, and reminded us why we fell in love with this industry. We’re coming home motivated, connected, and ready to work even harder. The future of barbering is bright—and our students are part of it! 💈🔥🏆

Today was a success! We cut 25 heads and told everyone about the school and passed out cards, hats and pens with our logo on it! GRITs Veteran & Senior Resources thank so much for letting us serve these amazing human beings. 🇺🇸 ABA IS HEADING TO THE GRITS VETERAN & SENIOR RESOURCE FAIR! 💈
This Thursday, August 20, our Abilene Barber Academy students will be at the Annual GRITS Veteran & Senior Resource Fair providing FREE haircuts for veterans! ❤️🤍💙 If any cosmos or barbers are interested in helping pm me!
Because our students and staff will be participating in this event, Abilene Barber Academy will be CLOSED at the school on Thursday, August 20.
