As I was putting together this little wall at Dragonfly, I found myself smiling (and maybe getting a little emotional) looking through these photos.

From a little girl pretending to do hair at 2 years old at her then fake salon, to our grand opening at our very first location, to snapshots of team members, clients, milestones, celebrations, and ordinary moments that somehow became extraordinary memories—it’s all here.

Eight years ago, Dragonfly was just a dream in my heart. Today, it’s so much more than a salon and spa. It’s friendships, laughter, happy tears, life updates shared in treatment rooms, celebrations, encouragement during hard seasons, and a community that has loved and supported us every step of the way.

The truth is, Dragonfly isn’t special just because of me or our amazing team. It’s special because of the people who walk through our doors every day. You have helped shape this place into what it is, and we are so grateful.

Three years in a row…

Even typing those words feels surreal.

When I opened Dragonfly, I had a vision of creating more than just a nail salon. I wanted to build a place where people felt welcomed, valued, cared for, and beautiful—a place where clients felt like family and where our team could grow, serve, and do what they love in an environment filled with love, encouragement, and camaraderie.

Today, because of YOU, Dragonfly Spa & Boutique has been voted Best Nail Salon in Abingdon for the third year in a row.

I truly don’t have the words to express how much this honor means to me because it wasn’t decided by a panel of judges—it was given to us by the very community we serve. And I think that’s what has me so emotional. The community we love showed up and showed out for us… again.

To every client who has trusted us with your time, your stories, your celebrations, and even your hard days—thank you. To every person who took a few moments to cast a vote—thank you. To our incredible team, whose talent, kindness, and dedication make Dragonfly what it is every single day—thank you.

Small business ownership is filled with long days, hard decisions, sacrifices, and moments of wondering if you’re getting it right. Awards like this remind me why we do what we do and encourage us to keep showing up and giving our best.
