Hello & welcome! 👋 I have new followers joining me every day, so I wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself and say thank you for being here! I’m truly grateful for every person who follows my page and supports my small business. ❤️

A little about me…

I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Chris, for almost 19 years, and together we have two incredible kids, Nora age 13 and Clark age 10. 2 Dogs- Ranger & Cosmo! They are my world!

My journey in hair began right after high school in 2006. I graduated from hair school in Cedar Falls in August 2007 and spent my first 5 years building experience behind the chair before we moved to the Des Moines area in 2011.

After having my daughter in 2013, I took a break from cutting hair and opened my own in-home daycare. What I originally thought would be a short-term adventure turned into an amazing 12-year journey that’s ongoing filled with incredible families, memories, and relationships that I’ll always cherish. ❤️

For years, I thought about returning to hair, but I knew I wanted to wait until my own kids were a little older. In 2024, I finally took the leap and returned to haircutting part-time. Now, two years later, I’m excited to be adding more days and hours and continuing to grow this part of my business!

One of my favorite things is getting to see some of my former daycare kiddos come back through my door for haircuts. Watching them grow up and now getting to be part of their haircut experience is pretty special! 🥰

I truly believe a haircut should be more than just sitting in a chair and getting your hair cut. It’s about building trust, creating a relationship with your stylist, making families feel comfortable, and hopefully becoming someone they look forward to seeing again and again.

Everyone is welcome here! Our salon is quiet, friendly, and intentionally designed to be a comfortable environment that isn’t overly stimulating. I want kids and adults alike to feel safe, welcomed, and relaxed.

I also believe that you don’t always have to spend a fortune to get a great haircut. I strive to keep my prices reasonable while putting the focus where it belongs: giving every client the best experience possible.

And of course… there are always TREATS, fun cutting capes, smiles, and lots of excitement! 🍭✂️😃
