The Best Part of My Job Isn't Writing Prescriptions... ❤️

Getting a hug before a patient leaves just because...

And sometimes... it's simply sitting beside someone on one of the hardest days of their life, making sure they don't have to face it alone... Delivering news of metastatic cancer or a terminal illness is never the news anyone wants to tell a patient... but recently had a patient commend me on how comforting, caring, and calming I was in breaking some bad news to her and her family... with that statement, in the middle of that heartbreaking moment, she quickly reminded me of how much of a privilege it is to walk people through those toughest moments, helping them feel heard, understood, and cared for as if they are my own family. Sometimes patients, even in one meeting, give you a memory that sticks with you forever... and that one will stick with me...

Medicine isn't just about treating illness—it's about walking through life's seasons together.
