1:40PM UPDATE: FLOODING IN AMHERST NEAR LOWER MAIN STREET, SUNDERLAND, AND A POSSIBLE TORNADO TOUCHDOWN IN BROOKFIELD.... Good afternoon folks, more heavy rain expected at times this afternoon in the crudely hatched area in southeast parts of WMass, northern CT and CMass. This could re-exacerbate flooding issues.

I am waiting to hear more information on the Severe-warned thunderstorm that was rotating and which may have dropped a tornado down onto Brookfield, MA, just east of Hampden County earlier.

Apparently, the National Weather Service is coming out to analyze the damage and make a determination as to whether straight line or rotating wind damage resulted.

Meanwhile, a friend just texted and said that lower Main Street in Amherst is flooded due to drains being unable to receive anymore water.

Sunderland at Kulessa Cross Road also had flooding earlier, and I am sure other areas did as well.

The Flood Warning at the Farmington River and resultant forecasts may be a false alarm, as the flow and level has decreased sharply, and hopefully that will continue in the right direction.

Please post any flooding reports below and any other notable impacts from today's system.

We're not done yet, though the wind portion is likely largely done unless a strong storm flexes later this afternoon, but that should be a widespread issue... at this point, it's just dealing with flooding issues for the most part.
