If you wait for āone dayā it may never happen.

And to thinkā¦if I wouldāve waited a couple of years, I wouldnāt have been able to do it because camel rides at the Pyramids have now been banned.

BIG FOOD vs. BIG SISTER. š
Auntie here looking out for you.
One wants you to buy the label.
The other wants you to read it.
In other words...
One is factory farmed.
The other is farm to table.
As your internet auntie whoās been in the food industry for 30+ years, Iām here to help you age stronger, eat smarter, and stop falling for clever marketing.
Not all protein bars are created equal.
A bar made with GMO soy protein isolate, corn syrup and bioengineered food ingredients sounds like a lab experiment. That source of protein is not recognized the same as one made with 100% grass-fed collagen from regenerative farms and real, recognizable ingredients - real food.
Protein isnāt just about hitting a number.
Itās about where it comes from and what comes with it.
āļø Does it support muscle as you age?
āļø Is it made from high-quality ingredients?
āļø Will it nourish your bodyāor just satisfy a marketing claim?
āļøIf it contains Sucralose - which is horrible for gut health - drop it like itās hot (David Bars, Barebells, Pure Protein, Quest, ONE, Think!)
Thatās why I pay attention to sourcing. Quality protein can help support healthy aging, recovery, satiety, and maintaining lean muscleāespecially after 40.
This isnāt about perfection. Itās about making better choices, one ingredient label at a time.
Because āproteinā on the front of the package doesnāt tell the whole story.
If youāre looking for a cleaner, higher-quality protein bar made with grass-fed collagen and simple ingredients, Lineage Provisions has become one of my go-to recommendations - and the chocolate chip cookie dough is saving my sanity these days!

If youāre looking to a to give you life experience, health guidance and how to look 30 at 60, you have to know itās all BS.
Please read the hashtags because theyāre required to use
If you havenāt actually lived, and thatās not actually you, and youāre actually giving advice, and youāre actually listening, then you actually need a big wake up call.
This is harmful and incredibly misleading.
SHARE and help stop the spread of fake influencers and TAG real people over 40 who are actually helping others.
This is so gross.
Fake faux health wellness
The worldās frenetic energy is not yours to short circuit on, sis.šš½āļø
At 57, hereās something I wish more women knew.
ā” Energy isnāt something you find.
Itās something you create to nurture your dreams.
Letās be real, most people in midlife are dragging azzzzzā¦theyāre are looking for another shot of caffeine, another supplement, another quick fix or a nap (which isnāt always a bad thing š) to keep their heads above water.
Meanwhile, the basics are sitting there waiting to change your life.
āļø Eat enough protein.
āļø Build muscle.
āļø Drink your water.
āļø Get outside in the morning.
āļø Protect your sleep and your peace.
These habits donāt just help you survive the dayāthey help you show up stronger for your family, your work, your adventures, and yourself.
Because the goal isnāt to have enough energy to get through the day.
Itās to have enough energy to enjoy your life.

July recap. What a month!
I hosted a bridal shower for my daughter, threw a 60th bday for my bestie with our friends, watched my Egypt team fave Goliath like David and decided FIFA is corrupt as it gets, cooked with the Taco Man, enjoyed the Getty, ate on the rooftop at Eataly with my forever boyfriend and fell in love with a dog.
Capped the month off by beating my own drum. Literally.
Hereās to taking every moment of every day and finding JOY in this midlife while standing for what you believe in. šš½

What the actual fork are we swallowing? š¤¬
The Egyptian side of me just got very spicy.
Hereās what happenedā¦
My sweet husband came home from Costco with what looked like a perfectly healthy box of protein bars.
High protein. āļø
Gluten-free. āļø
Fiber-fullāļø
The word Nature in the brand name. āļø
Then I read the ingredient label.
š© 4 kinds of inflammatory seed oils. Corn syrup. Bioengineered food ingredients.
So I kicked it to the curb like Mo Salah in the World Cup.
And thatās exactly why I started this series...
š“ What the Fork Is in Our Food?!
Iām not a stranger to the food industry. Iāve been around it for over 30 years, and even wrote a book called Eat like you give a fork.
Iām not here to shame your grocery cart. Iām just put here to trying to teach you how to read between the marketing claims and the ingredient list so all the effort that youāve been putting into building your body and your health doesnāt go by the wayside.
Because Marketing decides what to put on the front of the Label and companies know weāre all scanning for protein, fiber, gluten-free, and other claims.
And we are not lab rats!
So instead of eating the mystery ingredients, I made my own version with:
⨠Organic dates
⨠Greek yogurt
⨠Mixed nuts & dried fruit
⨠Dark chocolate
⨠Pink salt
Real food.
Real protein.
GMO-free.
Ingredients my grandparents know.
As your internet auntie, hereās my challenge: Flip the package over before you put it in your cart. The ingredient panel tells you far more than the front of the box ever will.
š Tell me...
What product should I āWhat the Fork?ā next?

Why itās healthier to poach:
⨠Poaching uses little to no added oil, so youāre skipping the extra fat and calories that often come with fried eggs, scrambled eggs, or omelets. And thereās no peeling shells, my least favorite activity.
⨠Cooking at home means youāre keeping more money in your wallet while feeding your body real food. High quality ingredients. Because youāre a Bentley, baby, not a broke down Bug.
Now hereās how you do it:
Today Iām serving mine over ful medamesāEgyptās beloved slow-cooked fava beans and one of the worldās oldest, most satisfying breakfasts. šŖš¬ Rich in plant protein, fiber, and slow-burning carbohydrates, itās comfort food that actually loves you back. This bowl right here clocks in at 25 g of protein!
Then comes my favorite finishing touch: Superfood Sprinkle . One spoonful adds herbs, spices, mushrooms, sea vegetables, seeds, and other nutrient-dense ingredients that help boost the micronutrients most of us donāt get enough of. Because health isnāt just about proteināitās about the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients that help your body thrive.
Simple.
Affordable.
Protein-packed.
Fiber-filled.

Whatās sexier than a jammy poached egg? š³āØ
A jammy poached egg with a sprinkle of 5,000 years of wisdom.
You know Iām always looking out for your health and well-being. But if something doesnāt taste good, Iām out.
Thatās why it took over two years to carefully craft Superfood Sprinkle for you.
One of my favorite ingredients in Superfood Sprinkle is black seed (also known as black cumin or Nigella sativa).
My Egyptian ancestors prized this tiny seed so highly that it was found in King Tutās tomb, and itās been celebrated for centuries in traditional wellness practices.
āļøImpressive antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
āļøSupports heart health
āļøHelps maintain healthy blood sugar, satiety and weight loss
āļøSupports immune function, brain health, and overall vitality.
Not bad for something so tiny.šÆ
Thatās why I made it the star of my superfood spice blendāpaired with turmeric, Lionās Mane, Reishi and Chaga mushrooms, kelp, sesame seeds, nutritional yeast, and nine other whole-food ingredients that help every meal work a little harder.
As your internet auntie, hereās my reminder: your health isnāt built by one āsuperfood.ā Itās built by the small choices you make every single day.
