Let's talk sunscreen. ☀️

There is so much misinformation online that buying & using sunscreen has become way more complicated than it needs to be.

Mineral vs. Chemical Sunscreens

Mineral sunscreens use zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide to protect your skin. They're often a great choice for sensitive or reactive skin and tend to have a thicker texture, although many newer formulas can be lightweight.

Chemical sunscreens use UV filters that absorb UV rays before they can damage your skin. They typically feel lighter, blend more easily, and don't leave a white cast.

One filter isn't automatically better than the other. The best sunscreen is the one you'll happily wear every single day.

Glowy vs. Matte

This comes down to personal preference and skin type.

If your skin is dry or you love that healthy, radiant finish, you'll probably enjoy a glowy formula. I really love Solara Suncare Guardian Angel Super Peptide Milk for a glowy finish.

If you're oily or simply prefer a shine-free finish, a matte sunscreen may be a better fit. I love Botnia Skincare Gentle Sun Cream for a skin like finish.

Drugstore vs. Professional

You absolutely do not have to spend a fortune to protect your skin.

A drugstore sunscreen that you use consistently is far better than an expensive sunscreen that never leaves the cabinet.

Professional sunscreens often have more elegant textures, skin-loving ingredients, and finishes that many people prefer, but consistency is always more important than price.

At the end of every facial, I always apply SPF before you leave. Most often, I'm reaching for either Botnia Gentle Sun Cream or Solara Guardian Angel, depending on what your skin needs that day.

I've never been much of a sheet mask person.

They've always felt like a nice little self-care moment, but not something I considered essential in a skincare routine.

Until these.

The MĒNOS Skin Bio-Cellulose Sheet Masks completely changed my mind.
