Jamie Lee Curtis has spent years telling people that getting older is not something to fear. While many people try to look younger, she believes aging is a gift.
At the Radically Reframing Aging Summit in 2022, she shared a powerful message with the audience. She said, "This word 'anti-aging' has to be struck. I am pro-aging. I want to age with intelligence, and grace, and dignity, and verve, and energy."
Jamie did not just talk about her beliefs—she lived by them. After winning her first Academy Award for *Everything Everywhere All at Once*, she continued encouraging people to accept themselves instead of chasing perfection.
She also spoke honestly about trying plastic surgery and Botox in the past. Looking back, she gave a simple warning to others. **"It did not work,"** she said.
While filming, Jamie made another important decision. She told the makeup and costume team not to hide the natural changes in her body. She explained, **"I've been sucking my stomach in since I was 11."** Then she added, **"I very specifically decided to relinquish and release every muscle I had that I used to clench to hide the reality."**
Her honesty touched people around the world. Many admired her courage to show her real self instead of pretending to be younger. Jamie's message is simple but powerful: growing older is not something to fight. It is a privilege that should be accepted with confidence, dignity, and joy. Today, she continues to inspire millions to age naturally and proudly.
