POV: Your LMT vs you during trigger point therapy 😂
👉Trigger points are super tight bands of muscles that get stuck in that contracted state
👉Can be caused by overuse, repetitive movements, chronic stress, injuries, posture deviations
“Active” vs “Latent”
-Active trigger points can cause a constant dull ache that radiates to a different area of the body
-Latent trigger points? What trigger points?? You would never even know you had one until it’s pressed on.
🧐 Does TPT hurt? I mean yes and no. It’s definitely a different feeling. some are terrible and others you just feel that dull ache. That’s where communication is key and no sleeping is allowed 😉 we want to use your pain to work with your body, not against it 🫶
