Excited to see how this gorgeous lady’s lips settle! 😍 Her goal was a refreshed, plumped natural looking lip. She knows 20-30% of volume immediately after the procedure is swelling that will resolve and is headed home to apply ice and rest per my post-care instructions. 🩷🤓

As we age, we all lose volume in our lips and our philtral columns (the vertical lines above the lips) flatten and grow apart. Lip filler can help with all of these issues, as well as decrease the appearance of superficial lines around the mouth (lip stick lines) and lines in the lips from dryness. Lip filler is an option for people of all ages, not just 20-something’s wanting the KimK pout (although I can do that too 😉😏). With the new year upon us, I wanted to reintroduce myself! 🎊
If you’re new on my page or just don’t know me very well, my name is Ashley Barth. I’m a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of healthcare experience. Many people ask: “what is a nurse practitioner (NP)?”
To become an NP, you have to be an RN for 2-3 years (in most cases) before a graduate NP program will accept you. Following acceptance into one of these programs, I received rigorous medical training in family medicine, which essentially means I’m able to provide medical care from birth to death. One must then pass a national board licensing tests. All in all, I went to university for eight years to learn and train so that I can take the best care of my patients.
In Oregon, and numerous other states, NPs practice medicine autonomously, meaning they assess, diagnose, and treat/order medications for their patients without oversight by another provider. In Oregon, NPs, PAs, and physicians can practice medicine, including aesthetic medicine, without the need for a medical director overseeing them and consulting all their patients beforehand.
While my background is in emergency and urgent care medicine, I fell in love with aesthetics after my first aesthetics training course over two years ago. Soon after, No Filter Medical Aesthetics was born. 💛
I was and still am so excited to create an environment where EVERYONE feels welcome and accepted and beautiful in their own skin. When you come to me, I listen to your goals and do my very best to enhance the natural beauty you already possess. Blending medicine and art has been such a fun and rewarding experience- I feel so blessed to be doing what I’m doing! ☺️
