💄This style of semi permanent makeup is called micro shading. It gives the brows some shape and body💋✅.

✨My goal has always been to make people feel better about themselves. Most importantly in everyday situations.

I can remember feeling so self conscious about my eyebrows. I used to put makeup on them everyday. I would fill them in and try to make them symmetrical. Then go about my day.

🏃‍♀️I would go to the gym with a hat so if I sweated them off, nobody would be able to tell. And when I wanted to take a dip in the pool I would make sure not to get my head wet so my brow makeup wouldn’t wash off. Oh and the ABSOLUTE WORST was making sure my brows didn’t rub off when I would hugged people!

😣I became tired of endlessly being careful not to wipe, sweat, rub and wash them away. The decision was made to go forthwith semi permanent and it was the best decision I ever made.

I loved how much confidence it brought me. I felt so comfortable in my skin that waking up in the morning and rolling over to see my partner felt JUST SO RIGHT. I have brows and they’re here to stay 😌.

Shortly after that decision, I knew I wanted to learn more about semi permanent makeup. I invested in learning, taking courses and becoming certified. I wanted to give to women that same feeling that I felt. Pure happiness and self esteem 💗. I’m a certified semi permanent makeup artist and I love every bit that comes with this career. This is my passion and has become my everyday lifestyle 🥰.

Pmu (permanent makeup) is applied with a tattoo gun. I believe the more a client knows about micro shading, the better the results are 😏.
✨Solely talking about brows✨
The ink used in micro shading is actually organic and inorganic. This makes it possible for the skin to metabolize the ink over the course of 1-2 years. Giving a semi permanent look.
Though the time line of 1-2yrs can very depending on a client’s habits. Habits that will cause the skin to metabolize the ink faster than 1-2 yrs are Tanning booths, sun exposure or sun burns on or around the brow area. Also if a client uses products that have exfoliating properties, as well as products that contain retinol and hyaluronic acid.
These habits and products also need to be avoided 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Use it such products can cause the integrity of the ink to change colors while healing.
The before and after care are the MOST important part to getting micro shaded brows.
The healing process take up to 4-6 weeks. And it’s important to trust the process. Between the first two weeks, the clients brows peel and flake. This is when they’re absurdly itchy. BUT DO NOT PICK OR ITCH your brows. Let the flakes fall off naturally and you can pat your brows with a tissue to satisfy the itch. Picking and itching the brows during these weeks can cause the brows to scar and loose pigment.
Definitely keep in touch with your artist if you have any questions and concerns.

You just can’t beat a fresh set 💁🏼‍♀️ FYI after your first session your brows will go through a healing phase. This healing phase lasts up to 6 weeks. Once your brows reach the 6 week mark, they appear 40% softer in color and may shrink a little in size. Then the touch up session is needed at the end of the 6 week mark. This is when you have the option to go with a darker pigment if you want it!
🚩But a touch up session is necessary. This session is to balance the brows out, and see what areas need a little more ink and reshaping!

Mapping is the most important step to any pmu procedure. It helps give you the most appropriate brow shape for your face!
🚫Side note, not all brow artists know how to map and are not require to know. This is a red flag 🚩 when searching for the right brow artist.
When your brow artist is mapping. It’s important for you to relax your facial muscles, and sit as still as possible 🧘‍♀️. After the mapping is done, you’ll have to sit up, still with a relaxed face and approve the shape and size of your soon to be brows!
