This has been a busy week of preparing for finals. We won't be making it to the Lebanon Saturday Market this Saturday. Hopefully we will be walking Nye beach after completing my second final. It will be a nice break before studying for and taking my last final next week.

I want to give a great big thank you to the plant lady who gave me a honeysuckle and took the extra loaves of sourdough off my hands as well as everyone else that helped make today's Lebanon Saturday Market such a lovely event.

We are here at the Lebanon Saturday Market until 2 today. Come and check out all the great vendors. I am between the plant lady and the spice guy at the end of the market.

We are excited to announce that we plan on being at the Lebanon Saturday Market from 9 to 2 this Saturday with our Pepper jelly, Cowboy candy, and pickled carrots that we missed the first week.

This is a great community market.

This morning I was reminded of a salad Grandma Syble made with a few simple ingredients, carrot raisin salad.
Here is the as I remember it:
Put some mayonnaise in a bowl (about 1-2 TBS), add some sugar (maybe a tsp, or use honey), and mix well.
Grate in some carrots (a bunch or 2, probably at least a pound) add some raisins (1/2 to 1 cup) to taste, mix well, refrigerate, and serve chilled.
This salad sure hit right on a hot summer day in Oklahoma.

Saturday was a beautiful day for the first Lebanon Saturday Market. It was nice to see everyone out and having fun, the children running about, and family and friends spending time together at the market.
