This is the time of year when you go out and pick your garden clean before the first freeze and put those green tomatoes and other veggies to good use. There isn't anything much better than some good chow-chow.
Our chow-chow is made with green tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower onions, sweet peppers, salt, sugar, vinegar, and some of my favorite spices: celery seed, mustard, turmeric, and ginger.
We will have these at the Lebanon Saturday Market this Saturday from 9 to 2, as well as holiday bazaars, as long as supplies last.

We carefully prep, measure, combine and simmer the ingredients on the stove for hours to create the perfect meld and texture, before jarring and processing in a hot water bath.
Traditionally chutney is paired with cheese or as a side with curry.
A perfect addition to any sandwich, my favorite is to spread a little on one slice of on the inside of my sandwich.
This week, at the last Lebanon Saturday Market of the year,, from 9 to 2, we will have our original chutney as well as plum chutney.
We will also have regular sourdough bread, sourdough bread, and in limited supplies of regular and small loafs.
