Just dropping in to say Happy Belated Mother's Day! How have you all been doing??
05/29/2024
Hi everyone! Recently I've been getting a lot of inquiries so I wanted to take a moment to give an update.
I closed my practice at the end of April. I decided to listen to my body and quit while I was ahead. I'm now into my third trimester of pregnancy and it is going very well. I feel very privileged to be able to take these last few months to just focus on myself, my health, and prepare for the baby's arrival. He's due in early August.
I have chosen to not give an ETA on when I will be returning. My focus right now is on enjoying this new chapter of my life and settling in to motherhood, and I don't want to give myself a looming deadline while I navigate things.
That being said, what I'd like everyone to do is find a new massage therapist they feel comfortable with and could see themselves being with long term.
I *promise* I am not the only capable LMT out there- but sometimes it does take time to find the perfect match for you. Feel free to reach out to me for recommendations.
Please keep up your sessions, keep making your health a priority. You deserve it!

Since starting my own fertility journey a few months ago, there's one word I've heard so many times it makes me want to go crazy! If you have a loved one who is TTC, you may want to think twice before using this word.
That word is "Relax"
While staying relaxed and reducing stress is certainly good advice for anyone struggling with infertility, telling your loved one to "just relax" often comes across as dismissive, even when said with the best intentions.
It's also misguided. You never know what the root cause of someone's infertility may be, and many cases require action. For example, if scar tissue is blocking fallopian tubes, no amount of relaxation will fix that. It requires action- smart steps to be taken to combat the problem.
Often there are several life changes that need to be made while TTC. Diet needs to change, hormones need to be balanced, the reproductive system needs to function optimally. This requires research and effort.
If you have a friend or loved one who is TTC, rather than tell them to "just relax", instead support them in their changes and be a listening ear through the challenges. This will actually help them relax and feel confident, rather than feeling dismissed and misunderstood.
If you are TTC and tired of hearing people tell you to relax, know that it's ok to do the work, to take the reins, to do what you need to in order to bring your body to a healthy state. And once you've done all you know you can do, then it will be time to allow yourself to relax and trust in your body.

Sciatica is probably my favorite issue to work on. Check out this great, in depth article from IMA all about how and why it causes such pain- then come in for a treatment!
Sciatica is a Pain in the Butt There is a phenomenon in modern medicine that has taken hold in recent years amongst primarily orthopedic allopathic practitioners, where they seemingly feel compelled to diagnose as quickly as pos…
📣This post is for all my former Evolve clients!
You may remember Alyssa Tefft, she was one of the LMTs I highly recommended when I closed my own office last year. Well she has now taken the next step in her career and opened up her own business!
Please give her a follow and be sure to show her the same support you all showed me when I went off on my own.
I am STILL getting feedback from Evolve clients that that have not sought out a new LMT! If you are of one of them, take this opportunity to restart your massage routine. You all invested way too much in your wellness to let it fall apart now, especially when there are amazing LMTs in your area like Alyssa. 🌿

With costs of goods rising, income levels plateauing, and the holidays fast approaching, budgeting for wellness might seem impossible right now.
Check out my latest blog for tips on prioritizing wellness, as well as some insight as to how I keep treatment costs as low as possible for my clients:
Budgeting for Your Body Let's be honest- most of us have found ourselves pinching pennies these days. We are seeing the cost of necessities rise while our incomes stay the same. This means most of us don't have the...

You'd probably think as a massage therapist I'd say the best way to manage stress is with a massage, right?
Nope!
While massage is an amazing tool to help reduce stress, I wouldn't say it's the best at managing the high stress levels we experience every day.
So what is the best way to manage daily stress??
Exercise!
In my latest blog I dive super deep into the stress response, why our stress levels are so dangerously high, and how to manage it in a practical way.
*This blog is a long read but I promise you will learn A LOT from it
How to Manage Stress You'd probably think that because I am a massage therapist, I would say the best way to reduce and manage stress is with a massage, right? Actually, you'd be wrong. While massage is an...

I couldn't help myself- I had to create a blog post about our amazing honeymoon in Paris!
We had such a great time and can't wait to go back (although I'd never go in August again).
The blog can also serve as a nice, insightful guide for anyone looking to go. I felt like the blogs/guidebooks didn't really help as much as I'd hoped they would.
Enjoy!
