My gorgeous client had her brows previously microbladed (multiple times 😬) by a different artist. It had been years since her last touchup, and they were faded and patchy, but the real issue was the lack a symmetry. They were repeatedly tattooed at two completely different angles, which you can see in the last photo. I reworked the existing tattoo as well as I could, and now it is not noticeable.

I am a proud "one trick pony". I do permanent makeup, specifically brows. I do brows all day, every day, and that is my art. When you come to me for your brows, you are coming to an artist that has specifically trained in tattooing brows for almost 10 years. I don't do injections, facials, lashes, etc. I tattoo brows.

This is a great example of how faded your brows need to be for a successful coverup with hairstrokes. While the shape is not exactly what I would have originally done, we were able to completely cover her old faded tattoo, and make it look really nice and natural.

Cover up of old microblading (not done by me). I say this to every person that sits in my chair with previous work; coverups are a process.

There is no longer a way around the fact that microblading has destroyed a lot of brows. I see so much scarring, blown out pigments, and just absolute lack of education and training on my client's faces every single day. Trying to tattoo over compromised skin can be a long and tricky process, but it is possible!
