This post highlights the importance of maintaining consistent skincare regimens, in office treatments, and a particular emphasis on the daily use of sunscreen. The VISIA Scan, a service available at our office, has been instrumental in my skincare journey. Those who have met me in person can testify to my fair complexion. Following my VISIA scan last year, I have tasked myself in avoiding unnecessary sun exposure and diligently applying sunscreen every day.

The first image displays my skin in a category under “visible spots,” which is what the visible eye can see. This placed me in a Green 🟢 percentile which is a positive remark. The second image displays my skin in a category under “UV Spots”, representing deep sun damage, placing me in the unfavorable Red 🚨percentile. This hidden sun damage and pigmentation may eventually manifest on the skin’s surface. While I miss having a sun kissed appearance, the long term consequences are my main concern.

It’s crucial to recognize that as we age, this underlying pigmentation can resurface and potentially pose a risk of developing into skin cancer. Looking back on the months of this year, I am thankful to be a part of this amazing team. Time is flying by, and I am cherishing every moment. Anticipating the future years fills me with excitement. There is a lot for me to explore, but I value the journey and strive to improve myself. Thank you for the ongoing support!
