I’ve been super selective about the trainings I invest in, and basically my whole lash career I have been self taught. This year I sat back and told myself that it was time to take my business further, and to do that I needed to refine not only my skills, but the way I approach my artistry and my business as a whole.
Because I’ve been self taught for so long, choosing who I learn from is something I take really seriously. I didn’t want to take a training just to learn a new technique or another lash map. I wanted something that would challenge the way I think and help me understand at a deeper level.
Investing in the Private Placement program with Poised Lux was exactly that. I’ve been so fortunate to train with some incredibly talented artists, learn from women whose work I genuinely admire, and experience different perspectives on artistry, design, and business. There is something so special about being able to learn directly from artists who have spent years perfecting their craft and being open to letting that knowledge change the way you approach your own. Even though I’m not quite done, I feel so empowered in my position as a lash artist.
