Content about the struggles of motherhood are *pervasive* these days so I’m here to fill your feed with a hopeful take on the whole thing ✨✨✨

Motherhood made me. I have never felt the kind of happiness and joy that I feel as a parent. NEVER. I waited and waited to become a parent, fearing it would remove me from myself. And it did. But the self I received in return is better, stronger, wiser, and intrinsically more hopeful than the person that preceded her. Difficulty doesn’t make me dislike the job; instead, it makes me persevere that much stronger.

My daughter is the greatest love I’ve ever known, and I can’t imagine my life without her. She is the magic ✨✨✨

If it seems as though I’ve entirely fallen off the map you’re sort of right I’m on a different map and that map is called 1st trimester of pregnancy and it’s a wildcard time that you feel like you’re going to barf, sleep, die, meltdown emotionally and evaporate sometimes simultaneously 🤗🤢🦋👵🎨🔪💘💝💖Every inner dialogue turns into a run on sentence you can’t escape.

So there it is 🤷‍♀️ Pregnancy, and also just a lot of ambivalence about social media in general. But here I am, trying. 🙏💖

Don’t ever forget that as an artist, scrolling through endless imagery is not the same as slowing down, touching the pages of French Vogue, and remembering what inspired you to do what you do in the first place ✨✨✨

PS: My 3 year old daughter has AMAZING taste 🤷‍♀️ We looked at every page together, read the interview with , and meditated for a minute on art and fashion 💘

It was an absolute dream shooting this bridal campaign for and their Bridal Handbook! 🤍 I had the incredible pleasure of training their bridal team then seeing all of the hard work pay off in these gorgeous photos.
montoya basically braved a blizzard driving up from Santa Fe but I’m SO grateful this shoot happened! There is something unbelievably enchanting about snow, and The Land of Enchantment + Snow ❄️❄️❄️
