This is Ziggy. He is a 10 pound, 5-month-old male poodle/terrier mix who was found as a stray in Albuquerque after he was hit by a car. He was turned in to the animal shelter and our good friends at the Animal Welfare Department, helped get him treated for his injuries and get him on the mend before transferring him to Lap Dog after nobody claimed him. Ziggy is very resilient, and even though he suffered a broken jaw, he is a very friendly, loving boy, who enjoys the company of dogs of all sizes as well as dog friendly cats. Zig is your typical puppy with lots of energy and loves to play bite and put everything in his mouth. He does not require a special diet, but rather just dry kibble softened with some water with a little bit of canned food. He does well in the house but is not yet potty trained and is slowly learning basic commands. He really enjoys going for walks, going for car rides, and coming home to cuddle on the couch. Since he is high energy and does a lot of play biting, we think an active home with another dog and older children would be best for him. Adoption fee is $245.00.
