Back-to-Back Markets Saturday, August 1st.🤍

We will be doing a double header this coming weekend! The Winrock market will be held on Saturday rather than on Friday, so we get to do both the Downtown Growers and the Winrock Fest on the same day. Come out, have fun, and enjoy your Saturday, we hope to see you guys🤍✨

Our Pear Cactus Fruit Soap Bar is one with plenty of excellent nutritional properties thanks to the prickly pear cactus fruit.🤍

The fruit itself contains Vitamin C, D, K as well as Omega 6, and 9. We also use shea butter, organic cocoa oil, and organic cocoa milk to leave your skin soft and hydrated.

Roberta and her husband wild harvest the prickly pear cactus fruit, burn the needles off, clean them, slice them, and then dehydrate them. After they dry, Roberta grinds the cactus fruit not once or twice, but three times so it leaves seeds and a fine powder. The seeds make an excellent exfoliant for your skin. Roberta does all of this before putting them in her batches of Pear Cactus Fruit Soap Bars. 🤍🌵

Why Does Handmade Soap Need to Cure❓

Freshly made soap isn’t ready to use right after cutting, they instead must spend around 4-6 weeks curing. During these weeks, excess water evaporates, to then create a harder, longer lasting bar with a rich and creamier lathered feel. It’s the final step that transforms fresh soap into a beautiful, high-quality bar. Curing also allows the bar to become more gentler on the skin as the bar fully matures.

We know waiting isn’t easy - but great soap can’t be rushed. Every bar is handcrafted with patience to ensure you get taken care.

This past weekend at our family cabin, I had the chance to reflect on what was, what is, and what remains. And through it all, I choose gratitude. For the opportunities that have found me, for the lessons that have shaped me, and even for the hard parts I didn’t think I could be grateful for. Today, I choose gratitude.
